Fae stood somewhat anxiously by a beach chair, waiting for Cruz with her bathing suit on under her clothes.

"Heya!" His familiar voice called from some meters behind her.

Fae whirled around, a huge grin growing on her face. "Cruz!"

"I brought some soda." He grinned. He was wearing lime green trunks, and absolutely nothing over his torso. She could see how all she'd ever seen of his collarbone flowerpd with everything else. And he wasn't buff, per se, but he was certainly in shape. Enough so to be quite flustering.

Fae was visibly struggling not to go bright red –and failing–, but she was grinning broadly nonetheless. "Th-thanks."

He set the small cooler next to her chair. He stood beside her, feeling free to let his eyes travel from her feet to her eyes. "You look nice," he stated simply.

(btw she's wearing her clothes on top of her bathing suit rn so she doesn't burn early, I think I said that earlier?0

"Thanks." She quickly slipped off the beach clothes she was wering over her bathing suit, a simple floral patterned tankini/long bikini top thing basically.

His eyes widened just a bit, very briefly.

Fae didn't dare look him in the eye, although what she was wearing was about as modest as swimsuits got. Her cheeks were tinged pink.

"You want some soda?" He asked dryly, pointing to the small cooler.

"Sure!" She wasn't upset in the least, just very flustered but happy. She grabbed a soda, finally working up the courage to look at him. Her face wore a cute, flustered smile, and her movements were relaxed.

It was hard to tell with the sunlight, but his earlobes reddened with a suppressed blush, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. He considered buying himself a trophy for having this much self control not to pin her down and..
"Oh, ow!" He hissed, smacking a horsefly on his arm.

"You okay?", she asked him, taking another sip of her refreshing drink, the sun pleasantly warm on her skin. She ignored how naked she felt.

"Fantastic," he answered in a croak, chock full of pubescent voice cracks. He shut his eyes and let out a strained sigh of self annoyance.

One corrner of Fae's mouth twitched upwards, although she felt exactly the same. "This is the one time I have you as flustered as you usually have me.", she joked in a n attempt to lighten the mood. Her eyes traced over his bare chest.

He brought his arms up to cross, his voice hushed. "I guess you have me there," he laughed nervously.

"Do– do you want me to put my shirt back on?", she asked quietly, wincing at how suggestive her words sounded. We're on a beach for Christ's sake!

"No," he answered quickly.

Fae's heart beat a little quicker. "Should we get in the water?" She made sure to focus on his face and not his bare chest.

"You wanna race?" He grinned cheekily.

She grinned back, getting up and racing towards the water before he said 'go'.
