Frankie laughed, but she was blushing too. "I told you!" Her happiness was short lived. A cry of "FRANCESCA" echoed through the halls. "Oh no. My mom is here."

"Your mom is here? Now?" Blake attempted to fix his messy hair, letting go of Frankie.

Frankie frantically fixed herself up. She had been gone for over 24 hours. Of course, her mom was worried. She rushed out into the hall but paused, unsure of whether she should introduce Blake or not. Didn't matter. She ran out and found her mom a minute later. "Mom. What are you doing here?"

Blake had no idea of whether Frankie wanted him to follow or not. His shirt and wings were stained with Ace's blood from carrying him back to his room. He looked a mess. So instead Blake anxiously waited by the door on call if Frankie wanted him.

Her mom's face told all but so did her frantic speaking. "Francesca, I went on find my phone to see where you were since I hadn't seen you in so long. I thought you were at the ice cream parlor. But it said you were at the hospital. You had me worried sick! Do you understand how scary it is when you think your daughter is on a date getting ice cream and you find out she's at the hospital??!?!? And also, did you consider that the whole family has senses that help them know when the others use their powers? I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU HAD POWERS! I mean I thought maybe, but WHAT IN THE WORLD WERE YOU THINKING?"

Blake froze as he heard the tone Frankie's mother spoke in. Anger. He had no idea if Frankie's mother was anything like Commander Ryker, but he had to protect her. Even if she wasn't. He burst out into the hallway, wings puffed up and his muscles tensed.

A tear trickled down Frankie's face. "My new friend got kidnapped by the R.A.C. so my new boyfriend and I went to visit him in the hospital and then we went to save his dragon who was trapped and then he got hurt and I stayed here with them." Her mother's face softened a bit and barely audibly she said, "Please don't do that to me again. Call me every now and then. Be back tonight." she turned to leave. "Wait mom do you wanna meet them?"

Her head jerked at the noise where Blake, as if on cue, had bust out of the door. "Here he is. Blake." She said motioning to him.

Blake didn't care who he was being introduced to, only focusing on the tears dripping down Frankie's cheek. He quickly wiped it away with his thumb. "Are you okay?" He whispered softly.

Frankie blinked and blushed, saying awkwardly. "Uh y-yeah. I'm all good." Frankie's mom smiled kindly and tried to hold back her snickers. "Yeah uh mom this is Blake." Through clenched teeth she said. "Blake this is my mom." She tried to get him to be normal.

Blake blushed, standing up at his full height, trying to keep a ridged posture. "Uhh… hi." He shoved his hands into his pockets.

Frankie's mom couldn't hold in her laughter anymore. "Hello, Blake." She said through laughs. "He sure is something, isn't he Francesca?"

Blake's wings drooped out of embarrassment. He shot Frankie a desperate look.

Frankie smiled. "He sure is." She said, hugging him. She whispered in his ear. "She's really nice I promise Blake. Nothing to worry about. She's just trying to embarrass us."

Blake perked up a bit at Frankie's words. "You have a lovely daughter." He told her mom, shuffling his feet awkwardly.

Frankie blushed at this. Her mom smiled. "Glad you think so. I totally agree."

Ace stared at them leave. "I wish I'd videotaped them."
