Dani laughed too. "I've survived worse, remember?" She put her hands on his shoulders. "You worry a lot."

"Spiders are nice. Is snow the weird powdery thing that's cold that shows up in December?" Ace smiled, "Quinlan's wife, Mrs. Aljkqx always made me some tea and put me in a blanket and hugged me when the white stuff came. But Quinlan always called it 'I need to get my shovel'."
(Aljkqx=eh-lik-shzacks)
"I have lost a lot of people, 19 to be exact, and I loved each and everyone of them. And I love you, so I couldn't imagine it if I lost you too." Zander said, putting his forehead to hers.
(17 family members, 1 Wrembel, 1 love (for a week) before the RAC(made him) kill her)
"Spiders." Blake shuddered his wings fluffing up. "I don't like spiders." He mumbled. "Snow is the white powdery stuff that you have to shovel. Commander used to make me shovel out the barracks by myself." Blake sighed, lost in a past memory. A tiny boy with puffed up feathers that blended with the snow. He was shivering, freezing. An older soldier took pity and handed the eleven year old a flask with a grunt and croaked: "This will keep you warm, kid." He patted Blake on the back so hard that poor Blake stumbled forward a few steps. Slipping on ice and falling into the snow. The soldier didn't bother to help him back up, leaving Blake with a flask of whiskey out in the storm.
Dani smiled. "Okay. It's been a while since I let someone take care of me. I'm working on it." She said softly to Zander.
(As much as I would like to stay, I have church tomorrow and my inner Dani is screaming at me to go to bed. So, goodnight 'yall)

(But @Natasha! It's only 2 AM!)
"Okay, if you say so," Zander said, kissing her forehead again." I hope you don't feel I'm overbearing about it."

(Later @Natasha sleep tight)
"Spiders. They were my only friends when I got locked in the cellar at that place." Ace shivered remembering how every night he would beg to sleep somewhere else, and they would tell him that if he was better, he would. And Ace tried and tried, but he was never better and he never slept anywhere other than the cellar. "I had a pet spider. I named him Quill, after one of my best friends back in my village. They found out about Quill, and they stepped on him."
Blake let out a sigh of exasperation. "That's it. I'm exhausted and you're sad. I didn't want it to come to this because I know I'm gonna thrown out, but whatever, man." Blake stood up from the chair and went around to the other side of Ace's bed where there were less wires. He promptly clambered on top of it and snagged one of Ace's pillows. He kicked off his combat boots and took off his jacket and bulked proof vest, clumsily throwing them at the chair. Lying down, his wings flopped over the side of the bed, but Blake was too tired to care.
"Sleepy boy." Ace touched Blake's nose, "Sleepy." he smiled and let the nurses fuss, "Blake stays."
(I have to go. Goodnight guys! @Nerd control Blake as you see fit!)
Blake let out a muffled "Mhm." And raised his wing in annoyance as a nurse accidentally bumped into it. Blake couldn't exactly tuck them in close to his body right now, so he let it flop back over, resolving to snap and the next nurse or doctor who got too close. "Night, big bro." He whispered, already falling asleep. He was out cold within the next minute, leaving his hair and wings as Ace's mercy to do as he pleased.
(I have to sleep too)
Ace watched Blake sleep, wondering how he did it. How do you close your eyelids and then get your brain to shut your body down, but not the inside? It's too much like death. Ace watched as a nurse came over and added a new tube, attaching the wire connected to it to his wrist. His eyes closed and consciousness slipped away.
(Seeing as it's midnight over here… Ima sign off, but before then)
Kata walked around, following the trail of Macha's scent. She finally found the door to her room. Kata cautiously walked in and saw her lying on the bed, with Niki seated nearby. Kata wanted to thank the Macha, but she was fast asleep. Kata walked to, and curled up on a nearby chair, then contented herself to wait it out.
Ellis sat on the floor against the wall, preening the hatchling downy feathers off himself while he watched everybody else in the room. There was still too many people he had to meet, and he wasn't too sure about all that. But he also didn't like sitting here and being quiet.
Bad things always come when you're quiet.
"H'llo!" He blurted out for little reason, or to whom he had no clue, but it helped himself calm down from his intuitive fear of silence. At home, everything and everyone became so quiet before his father was the only noise, then Ellis. His mother's torn face of anguish, never healthy enough or strong enough to save her baby from the alcoholic monster. Ellis wasn't afraid of boogeymen or vampires or yetis. He was scared of flying glass bottles and men so angry that saliva flies out like a vicious wild canine with frothing rabies, terrible fangs.
So maybe it was logical that he was beginning to question this sudden paradise.
Would Blake ever turn on him like that? If his father had, who was, in a faraway pinpoint of memory that Ellis could hardly manage to discern from fiction or reality, a good man like Blake, who's to say the kind people here wouldn't be instigated to wild violence like before?
Ellis decided to stay vigilant.
Peter had pushed himself up in slow, but sure and shaky movements to stand, and retreat to bed, hoping to rest off the feelings of illness.
(Sorry, my sister dragged me to a party and pushed me into random groups of (admittedly cute) boys and announced, "This is my sister! She's single and ready to mingle!" Thank god that I finally escaped)
Oh my dear lord O am in tears from laughing 😂
Macha couldn’t wake up. She tossed and turned in a feverish sleep, plagued by swirling visions she couldn’t understand, trapped in a heavy curtain of black that she couldn’t seem to lift. Every so often, a blazing pain would wash over her like a wildfire, burning, destroying, suffocating. She screamed as hard as she could as her flesh was boiled under intense heat, her blood evaporating like water in the sun.
And while she slept, her stone skin pulsed, receding slowly until all the stone liquified in a puddle on the ground and she was left with soft, human skin.
Skylar watched, horrified as Macha’s skin started melting. She grabbed her friends hand and squeezed it, hoping it would ease her mind.
(At first I didn’t actually know if machas skin actually started melting or if it was a hallucination of machas while she slept…
(It’s actially melting)
In her sleep, Macha felt someone grasp her hand tightly. “Sky… Papa?”, she murmured
I cant wait til ellis meets macha. Hes just going to love her xD
