Macha stepped a bit closer. “Papa, it’s me, Macha.”

Ellis eyes the thing with sudden hesitation.

Dani nodded. Same to you. Her shoulder was bleeding, but not as badly as she thought it would. Wait there's a giant here?? She thought to herself.

"You don't have to if you don't want to." Blake assured him, holding out his hand to take the knife back.

Zander touched his head, and felt for blood, surprise surprise, there was some. He pulled himself up from the ground as the giant lumbered closer, shaking the ground with every step. Zander put both hands on the ground, and capsized the area the giant was standing on, knocking it over and causing a miniature earthquake.

(Haha it's funny how Zander and Dani told each other not to get hurt, but both of them ended up getting hurt anyway.)

(Yeah, Zander gots to start thinking things through, I mean who doesn't know giants have a strong sense of smell)( light scuffle)(Zander wins light scuffle)( I- I mean who does know? Right? Right?)

Ellis gave it back, holding on to Blake's wing for comfort.

"I got an idea! Wait here a sec!" Blake yelled, setting down the knife and dashing to his room. He knocked on the closet and opened it up to see a pair of swimming googles. "Perfect! He strapped them on and rushed back to the kitchen. Wrapping his wing around the boy again, Blake got to work, successfully cutting without crying.

An old, weary man stepped forward into the light. She recognized him immediately. “Papa!”, Macha cried, rushing forward to embrace him.”How— how did you get here? What did they do to you? She hugged him again, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks, but Hans Rosendorfer just stepped back, frightened. “Who are you?”, he asked warily, and Macha’s heart broke.

Ellis grabbed and started preening Blake's wing, watching jim curiously.

"I'm a genius." Blake said, a smug look on his face. "The only thing I know how to make is scrambled eggs. So uhh… everyone is getting scrambled eggs and/or cereal. Which do you want?"

"Cereal," Ellis mumbled back, "You look like a fish face. Like you have fish eyes. Big fat fish goggly eyes."

Macha sent a mental message to her gargoyles so that she could get to Rhea, as she studied her Papa’s face, the pain in her chest unbearable. “Papa? Hansi? I’m your daughter, remember? You adopted me off the side of the road?”

(I ALMOST LAUGHED OUT LOUD AGAIN!!!)

"Nuh-uh. If Ace can look good in glasses than so can I! But I'm more out of the box. What's the word for it? Quirky? Yeah, lets go with quirky. Cereal's over there, pick out whichever one you want." Blake pointed to a cabinet with his wing as he took eggs out of the fridge and searched for a pan.

(I ALMOST LAUGHED OUT LOUD AGAIN!!!)

(I ALMOST FELL OFF MY BED LAUGHING)

Ellis walked to the cabinet, "Isn't an ace like a.. the letter A?" The little kid asked, pinching his fingers together as if he was holding a playing card. He sat on the counter top, "My brother has carsds with aces."

Hans shook his head, stepping back with his frail arms raised. “Is this another trick?”, he hacked, coughing up blood.

Ellis walked to the cabinet, "Isn't an ace like a.. the letter A?" The little kid asked, pinching his fingers together as if he was holding a playing card. He sat on the counter top, "My brother has carsds with aces."

(I'M DEAD)

"Yeah, A for a-… never mind. Yeah there are cards with aces, but this one's my friend Ace." Blake eyed him with amusement, still wearing the goggles.
