Kano got up on a stool and began rewiring the camera, making a video of Kano and LK sitting on the bed, talking, rewind over and over again. He grabbed her hands and bent down to her level, his eyes beginning to well up with tears, "I'm getting you out of here." LK looked at him, shocked, but Kano was already on the move, putting LK on his back, piggy-back style. He was beginning to have hope in his plan, until he was met with three dark figures.
Zander saw Lily on the man's shoulder's and pulled Glimmer out of her sheath. With his other hand he blocked out the path so that the man couldn't get past. " GIVE. ME. MY. SISTER!" Zander had a snarl on his face, it took everything within him not to attack this man in front of his sister.
(have to go see a movie, BRB)
Blake stood directly behind Zander, his wings puffed up threateningly. He could see the color had already started to fade; the deep purple was a lavander now. Zander was furious next to him. If worse comes to worse Ill take off my mask. Seeing the dead should shock him for a minute. He glared at the man.
Zander watched as the man stay motionless. Then all of a sudden his sister shouted out," Sandy!" Zander blushed slightly at the nickname Lily had given him when she was younger.
(@ONLINE_ROBO Im going to bed but you and @Nerd have control over Blake. Goodnight!)
(OK goodnight @TiredOtter, but lets just pick up tomorrow. It is pretty late where I am as well.)
Kano bristled slightly, "You know him?"
LK nodded, "It's my brother!"
Kano unclenched his jaw, "Take her, quick, I'll cover you." he hoisted LK off his back and she went running to the man she said was her brother. Her hands were clenched over the ipod that Kano had given her, and his heart melted slightly. He met her eyes and smiled, "I'll always remember you, LK."
(Just gonna drop some Maroon on ya:
He was immersed in a sea of red. Drowning in the nothingness. Drowning in his blood. Burning in the heat. And through it all, one steady beat. His headphones. Not his heart. Maroon willed his heart to keep going. He raked his fingernails through the soft skin of his wrist. There was a wound, but no blood came out. He was a boy made out of flesh and bones and muscle. But not blood. No blood. No life. His existence was fading away. He screamed, but no sound came out. He was a boy made out of flesh and bones and muscle. But no blood. No life. He didn't exist. He was never supposed to.)
Peter nodded in a small motion, grey eyes casting down for a moment or so. "It doesn't surprise me, Sky, that a heart like yours would attract someone as kind as that," he decided in a factual tone, bringing his hands off her waist to hug around the small of her back instead. "I used to know a girl like that, in some ways."
"Who was she?" Sky asked, brushing a stray piece of Peters hair off of his face.
He closed his eyes for the second she did so, "Her name was Eleanor. Or Ellie," he smiled, "I fell in love with her when I lived with my family in the Caribbean," he spoke, "She had.. the prettiest dirty blonde hair and grass green eyes, she was so hard to forget," he half laughed, his voice accented with painful nostalgia.
Sky smiled at Peters description. "If you dont mind me asking," she hesitated, "what happened to her?"
The smile disappeared from his face, pupils falling downwards. "She died giving birth," he half laughed, but there was no humor in that breath.
"Oh." She sighed. "Im sorry. Did the child make it?"
Dani looked at the child sadly. She was so small, so thin. She put her hand on Zander's shoulder. "Let's hurry and get her out of here."
Why had this man said he would remember her? Zander felt Dani's hand on his shoulder, bringing him back to reality. Zander then felt his sisters small arms wrap around him, and he hugged her back. He was happy, but just form a moment. Because that's when the alarms went off.
Blake stared at Zander's little sister, happy to watch the two embrace each other. Kata purred in his arms. With a swift nod at Dani, Blake made sure he was behind Zander and Lily in case he needed to shield them from any gunfire.
Zander scooped his sister into his arms and turned around, while Kata grew to her full size. Zander turned to Blake, " Let Kata lead us out, her skin is thick enough to deflect bullets. We can file out behind her."
"No," Peter exhaled. "It was all my fault, too," he spoke no louder than a broken whisper, finding it hard to make eye contact with her.
