Zander gripped Glimmer and disappeared quickly, reappearing behind Ace.(he would have appeared behind Blake but Ace is taller)

Ace stepped away, "Why are you hiding? This is Dani. Blake's love interest."

"You know that I can hear your thoughts, right?" Dani said with a hint of playfulness. She turned to Blake. "I'm really sorry. I should have found a way to break it to you better. It is all really strange for me, finally finding the lost Thorfin kid. "Well, technically Niki found you."

Dani knew that saying that was probably not the best thing to do. But, what's done is done.

Ace stretched, this tiny room was getting really cramped.

Zander looked at the girl who appeared again," Yeah sorry, you guys just have a habit of appearing out of nowhere and pointing pointy things at me. But, now I can very clearly see why Blake likes you so." Zander finished talking to Dani.

Dani rolled her eyes. "Well do you think that I would just walk into a room with an R.A.C. officer and NOT have a weapon out????"

"R.A.C. officer !?! Blake can attest to how much I hate them! " Zander shouted, Dani could be a problem if he wasn't careful.(updated)

Blake paled. "R.A.C. officer? Ace? Dani?"
"He smells like one," Ace said, leaning back.

" How can someone smell like an R.A.C. officer? And we were just hanging out 5 seconds ago." Zander suddenly felt very conscious of the USB recording hidden in one of his pockets.

Dani took a deep breath. "Do you think. That after being tortured, for two months, NON-STOP, by the R.A.C., that I would just not be able to recognize an R.A.C. officer?????" She started out calmly, but her last words were a bit louder than she meant for them to be.

"Well, R.A.C. officers have this distinct smell, like…I can't explain it, but they smell like they're part of the R.A.C." Ace ran a hand through his hair.

Zander stopped cold. She had been tortured?Wait, how could she even tell? Ace explained that he can smell it, and that Zander can explain away. But he didn't even have his badge with him. "If I am R.A.C., why didn't I kill Blake while he slept not ten feet from me. Why didn't I kill Macha when she came for him. Or Ace when he came for them both!!!"

Ace was offended, "I held you to a gunpoint! You can't kill me!"

Dani gave a defeated sigh. "Because my uncle did the same thing."

Zander responded," Those bullets never would have touched me, I'm a magician. With a magic cat at that! That doesn't sound like R.A.C. material.

"I'm magical too! I have purple blood." Ace smiled, and then frowned, "Just because you have magic doesn't mean you're not a R.A.C."

"Wait what? You're uncle? What does you're uncle have to do with this?"

He turned back to Ace."They KILL people with POWERS!!!"

"DO YOU THINK I DON'T KNOW THAT!"

Dani nodded. "And they also use people by threatening to kill their loved ones. I can see it in your eyes. Who'd they take from you?"
