His cheeks were aflame in a flush. From the exercise or his nervous attraction, it was hard to tell. "I'm glad You're happy," he spoke, tone quiet and soft, keeping his words easy to follow to adamantly avoid stammering or embarrassing himself.

"Thanks for listening." Ace said, his hand moving to her shoulder. He smiled at her, "I have something for you."

Macha's eyes widened. How long had it been since someone had given her something? "I–", was all she said.

"I thought it would be nice for you to have it, after all I can't make bracelets." Ace reached into his pocket and pulled out a bracelet. It was a silver bangle except for a part where the two ends were connected by a dragon with blue diamonds for eyes. "It was my mom's, I, uh, took it from her because I wanted something to remember her by." Ace ran a hand through his hair, trying to straighten the front of it.

Macha's hand flew to her mouth. "Ace? A-are you sure you want to give this to me? I mean, I don't want to take your way to remember you mom by!" A warm feeling spread through her. Was she really that special? Thank you., she said inwardly.

"Well, when this is all over, what are you going to remember me by?" Ace smiled sadly and looked into Macha's heart stopping golden eyes.

She took it gingerly, gazing up into his eyes. "Thank you.", she said. "Wait– when this is alll over?"

"Somethings coming. I can feel it. We're not going to be able to stay at the Citadel for the rest of our lives." Ace's gaze became unfocused as he stared into space.

Something in Macha panicked. "No—no, that can't happen, that won't happen. I-I'll fight whatever comes, we-we can still be like this, I am not losing another person." Desperate tears came streaming down her cheeks.

"I'll fight with you." Ace wiped the tears off her cheeks, his hands brushing against the cracks in her face.

Macha leaned into his touch, tears leaking from her closed eyes. "Promise you won't die on me?", she whispered.

"I promise." Ace's words echoed throughout his ears.

Dani slid into the kitchen. "Oh, um………I can see that I came in at a bad time. I'll just………..come back later." She said awkwardly, and turned back to the door.

"You're right, I do need your help. I am stumped on what to do.", Zander said," I spent the last couple of days tracking two of my targets and have come up empty. Maybe you can help me figure out how to put the puzzle together." Zander pulled out his R.A.C. issue phone and pulled up the two files he had, passing it to Iseul. (I checked but could not find what R.A.C. stood for, does anybody know?)

Iseul took the phone from Zander and stared at it. Words jumped around the screen as he tried to read. They made no sense to him at all. He shook his head in frustration before reading the top of the files. There was three letters in red next to two pictures. "R….A…", he hesitated,"O?"
