@Natasha
"Wait what??" Cassie said, slightly confused. "Geez you fall asleep for two seconds and everyone forgets about you."
"Wait what??" Cassie said, slightly confused. "Geez you fall asleep for two seconds and everyone forgets about you."
Turning back to the boy, she asked for his name, examining the plane.
(How tilted is the plane? How damaged?)
Pine blushed and laughed breathlessly, rolling his eyes. "Come on, sleepyhead. We'd better see what the others are up to now."
The ginger-haired teacher bent down to squeeze under a large chunk of shrapnel, leaving his burn-spotted legs sticking out while he fished for anything of use.
Cassie gave him a smile. "Yeah okay."
"Oh… I'm Matthew." (it's up in the trees so may not be too stable :P)
(ouch yeah not the safest)
(I'm out for the next hour, sorry! ):
"Hi Mathew, I'm River.", she replied. "If it's up in a tree, then that may not be the safest idea, but we could use–", she turned to the man. "I'm sorry, what's your name? What you found could be of use to us."
Which man? XD sorry )
Kirsten stumbled back to where she had left everyone. She scanned the area and found them, hauling the small bag of supplies she had made with her coat. They were standing in front of the wreckage of the plane.
She hurriedly wiped the tear tracks and chased the disgust from her face before walking over to them.
Pine grabbed her by the hand, blushing a little more, and helped her to her feet, walking her over to the others.
(@Lil-Owl, sorry, 'the man' is your character)
XD okay, thanks! )
Mr. Nikolas pulled himself out from under the large shrapnel shard, "Alexander Nikolas. Mr. Nikolas." He answered, wiping sweat off his fprehead to stand.
Pine gazed uncertainly at River but said nothing, instead helping Cassie back down to the ground next to him.
Cassie allowed Pine to lead her, then help her down on the ground. She avoided Callie's eyes.
"You alright?" Pine whispered, settling in close beside her.
River smiled, not letting her anxiety show on her face. "River.", she introduced once more. "My little shelter isn't very far, about a five minute walk, so I could help carry that piece of metal back. I have a few space humidifiers that my dad had brought along just in case –we were going to visit my grandfather– , and there's space for all of you. If we could somehow get that plane down from there…", she said, turning to Kirsten. "Did you find anything useful?", she asked the obviously shaken girl.
Kirsten nodded. "Y-yeah. Two pocket knives, three scarves, some food and water, a blanket, a map, and a phone. Oh, and a pen." she shrugged. Images of her classmates were still flashing before her eyes.
"I have an iPod," Pine volunteered.
Cassie looked at Pine. "Sore, tired, and my leg really hurts, but I'll manage."
River smiled at him for the first time, trying to make amends for her aggressive behavior earlier, but still not fully forgiving. "Awesome. Are you guys staying or coming?", she asked, memories of her dead family flashing before her eyes. I guess I'm an orphan now. ,she thought grimly.
"Here, lean on my shoulder. I'm sure we'll be here for awhile, so you can sleep a bit."
Cassie didn't want to give Callie the satisfaction, but she was too tired to protest. She leaned her head on Pine's shoulder.
Pine blushed and made himself comfortable, watching Cassie the whole time.
Cassie let herself drift off to sleep.
(Awww…)
