"Yeah, well, I tend not to have personal vendettas." Said Marco. "I'll take out rapists, and drug dealers, and other low life. But I have a soft spot for kids. And if my actions endanger a child, or someone innocent, then I won't do it. Meaning I've left several people alive, which us why the families hate me."
The smallest sound came from behind him. Roger sighed as he knew what it was. The soft sound of boots on hard ground. The tact team had caught up to him. His fire must have tipped them off. Rookie move. In one move he ripped his tarp down snatched his backpack up and was running across open field. towards the lights of the city.
"I take care of people who torture and experiment on street rat kids like me." She did a two finger salute. "Mainly the ones that did it to me. Oh, and some of my foster families. My foster brother was my first kill."
"And this is why I never lt Child Services catch me." Said Marco, liking her more by the minute.
"Yeah, well, I was five minutes old so it's not like I could've said 'nope' and sparita."
Marco sighed. "I feel you." He said.
She clasped her hands together. "Welp, it's your lucky day. I've decided the families can go cry to someone else about their problems."
Marco smiled, "Thanks," he said, honestly grateful, because he didn't think she would be a good person to mess with.
"Don't worry about it." She flapped her hand dismissively. "I need a reason to make them upset."
Jeriah pulled into a 24-7 cafe at close to midnight. He'd been driving for two days trying to ditch his last tail and had recently shaken them. The cafe he stopped at had a few outside tables so he decided to use one of them, he never felt very comfortable in fast food places or restaurants for the ability to corner someone in them. This allowed him to ditch faster than if he was indoors.
Currently he was the only one there and was getting ready to leave when he looked up and saw a girl, roughly college aged, walking past. Alone. She looked nervous and clutched her phone tightly, ready to call for help should the need arise.
(Sry, I went shoe shopping, and, well, I love shoes)
Just two more blocks and I'll be home, Lindsey thought to her self. She checked her phone quickly before tilting her head back up. She knew not to walk kn her phone. She had watched SVU. She knew that's how girls got kidnaped or raped or killed or all three. God, she was never walking home from work again. She would fund money for gas, or borrow some next time. Walking alone at night was too nerve rattling.
(No problem, I love shoes too)
Cat saw a girl walking alone. she was clutching her phone. Cat walked up to her.
"sorry ms but I'm a little lost. do you have any clue how to get to park street?" Cat asked her voice sounding desperate. She was 18 but she looked 16 at most. Usually, her small size helps her in these situations
"Don't worry about it." She flapped her hand dismissively. "I need a reason to make them upset."
Marco laughed. "Have fun with that" he said.
The girl looked increasingly distressed, as she continued past. Jeriah wanted to ask if there was a problem, but didn't know how she would take it. After all. Strangers approaching vulnerable girls on the streets were how they got kidnapped, raped, and murdered, and any self-respecting women would take a strange man walking towards them on a dimly lit street at night, alone, as a red flag.
Lindsey looked at the girl that approached her in surprise and hesitancy. She didn't trust anyone at night, no matter what theor true intentions were. "Just keep walking and you'll cross it eventually." She took a couple steps back from the girl.

Tessa smirked and did a two finger salute as she turned away. "Welp, I have things to do, people to stalk, douchebags to threaten, mafia bosses to talk back to."

Jeriah watched the younger girl ask the, probably college student, a question and mentally sighed in relief. Hopefully that would help.
Tessa smirked and did a two finger salute as she turned away. "Welp, I have things to do, people to stalk, douchebags to threaten, mafia bosses to talk back to."
Marco laughed, "And I have streetkids to protect, and mafia bosses to avoid." he said.
"Ciao," Tessa said in farewell, then took off into the night.
Wind whipped Roger's face as he sprinted towards the city. He could see it now, but he could also hear the sounds of his pursuers. A gun went off behind him, his arms went up to cover his head, but he didn't slow down. He entered the city and went flying down one of the back roads hoping it would be enough to lose his tail. Another shot went off, and ricochet past him hitting a can.

Cat tried not to show her disappointment. instead, she smiled softly and tried to figure out another tactic. She wasn't close enough to pickpocket and she didn't like taking whole purses and then running. more of a chance you'll get caught. She could just find someone else. but she really needed the money. she feigned confusion "so would that be going that way," She said pointing to her left.

Jeriah had started to get into his newest ratty, stolen vehicle when he heard it. Gunshots.
Lindsey wrapped her arms around her body. "If you dont know, use your phone. Gps exists for a reason. Or find a convience store and look at a map. There's one just down the road. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get home." She was just about to step around the girl to get back on her way home when she heard it, the gun shots.
Cat was just about to counter the older girl's claims before she heard the shots. "Merda" she muttered before quickly disappearing into a cafe nearby. Being inside was her best option.
Marco was about to leap back down into the alley when he heard gunshots. Grabbing a knife from his boot, and the one from his sleeve, he took of running in the direction of the commotion.
