(I watched Catching Fire. Owwwwww)
"Oh. So can I just… Show up?"
(I watched Catching Fire. Owwwwww)
"Oh. So can I just… Show up?"
(It's so horrible.)
"Yeah, someone will come let you in," Courtney confirmed with a nod.
(Which do you like better? HG, CF, or MJ?)
Kitty looked awkwardly from her phone to Courtney. "Um… Bryson couldn't come too, could he?"
(None. They've all ripped my heart out so far. I'm just starting MJ.
But they're really good.)
Courtney frowned and slowly shook her head. "No, sorry. Blaine's boyfriend is only allowed to come because of what he does."
(Oh… This is the first time that you're reading it?)
Kitty bit her lip. "Okay."
(Technically, it's my second. But my first was five years ago and I never finished it.)
"Sorry, Kitty," Courtney gave her a soft smile.
(Ah, okie. What part are you at?)
"It's okay," Kitty replied quickly.
(K just saw the interview with P about a ceasefire.)
"Do you need a ride?" Courtney asked.
(Ah, that part…)
"Nope… Actually, yup." She laughed a little.
(And now P is back and K is upset.)
Courtney smiled and pulled her over to Avery.
"Hey, Aves, Kitty needs a ride home," she said.
"I can take her," Avery said with a smile. "Do you want to come, Court?"
"If Kitty's okay with it."
"Yes, that's fine," Kitty said happily.
"Awesome! Let's go!" Courtney exclaimed, pulling Kitty out the door.
Kitty gasped and stumbled behind Courtney. "Oh!" she piped up. "Since you'll probably be dropping me off at my house, you'll get to meet Bryson!"
Courtney raised an eyebrow. That would be cool."
Kitty grinned. "You'll love him! He's so funny!"
"Well, let's go!" Courtney declared with a laugh, pulling the other out into the parking lot.
Kitty skipped along. "I've told him all about you!" She stopped suddenly. "I mean, not about any of this," she added quickly, motioning back towards the building. "Or our powers or anything."
"You barely know me!" Courtney laughed. "How have you already told him all about me?"
"I just told him that we're friends, that's all," Kitty said quietly.
"Oh, cool. Yeah, I guess that makes sense…" Courtney trailed off, feeling like she'd offended Kitty.
"I've just always wanted to say that. The 'Oh, I've told him all about you'." She'd never really had friends before, but she didn't really want to tell Courtney that yet.
"Ah, okay. Got it," Courtney said with a nod. They finally reached the car, but Avery was nowhere in sight.
"Where's your sister?" Kitty asked in confusion.
"Uh… Probably inside talking to someone. We might be here awhile, sorry…"
"It's fine," Kitty replied. "So… I guess I do barely know you…"
