(Sounds great! I'm ready for this one)
(That sounds good to me!)
(Ah, sorry, but I just realized you filled the spots I had asked for before the others had, at least I belive I had. I asked for the bard and the princess/prince.)
(Oh uh… shit… I apologize for that. I must’ve missed that while sliding through… well, if you’d still like to join there is one spot remaining… again, I’m sorry)
(It's fine, I won't join. Many apologies for bothering.)
(Ah… that’s a shame, but that’s also my fault. Again, sorry)
Name: Kreuger Bastilles
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Open for Shipping?: Maybe
Kingdom: Cershestin
Duty: Scientist and researcher
Mechanical Equipment (if from Cershestin):
Creator's Hatchet - An unbreaking small hatchet with a detachable head to use as a weapon. The sharp side of the hatchet being constantly electrified with an unstable metal having a constant electric field property (similar to magnetic field except it electrocuted you with high voltage). The hatchet itself is made out of a fiber resistant to all temperature and energy, it can never be broken (only its sharp side can break or either run out of its electricity property). A fiber made rope connects the hatchet when it is detached. The rope can reach up to 4 meters and is extremely durable. It is filled with small slots and hooks for modifications and attachments being able to turn into various tools.
Thinker's cube - Used alongside with the hatchet. It can morph into different parts of a tool such as a head of a hammer or a blowtorch. It's made with the same fiber as the hatchet and is small and portable. Kreuger keeps it hidden and safe until required to use.
Voatin Glove - A one handed, open finger glove which emits a small holographic protective barrier (covering twice the size of his hand). The holographic barrier is almost invincible though requires the user to have precision in blocking an enemy's strike. A gem encased inside the glove is used as a power and is fragile.
Weapon: Creator's Hatchet
Personality: A short tempered man who relies mostly on his allies to protect and do most of the killing. He respects his higher ups and colleagues but absolutely hates disobedience from his servant/subordinates. He is focused on whatever he set his objective on and is frustrated when unable to achieve it.
Physical Appearance: He has long dark crimson tinted hair which he keeps up in a long ponytail. He has a short circle beard. His eyes are colored dark green. His face is clean with no scars. He is 6'5 ft tall. His skin is sand colored. His body is semi-bulky with few muscles.
Usual Clothing: He wears a vintage pilot outfit. He wears his pilot goggles on his head mainly as an appearance but also to help protect his eyes from his work and fights. He wears a white shirt black bomber fur leather jacket with a hidden protective fiber inside. His trousers are thick and colored dark blue without any protective fiber. He wears combat boots which enhances his movement, mostly speed and jump height.
Others: He is very proud of his creations and is enraged when any of them is broke to the point where the equipment can not be fixed or repaired.
(I'm good to start, though on and off because school.)
(Alrighty, I think we’re all set. I’mma post a starter)
After coming back from a three-day duty in the woods, Vincent came back into the palace’s doors. He met eyes with the butlers and maids around, ever so slightly annoyed at the fact that they forgot to clean the walls as well. They were all mopping the floors, what was with that?
He remembered the schedule he’d been given days ago. Upon taking a turn, he gently opened the doors that led to the throne room.
As expected and as it should be, the princess he devoted his loyalty to was on her throne, as beautiful as ever. He knelt down in front of the throne, bowing his head down slightly.
”Good morning your royal highness. Earnest, I am glad to be back within the perimeters of our beloved kingdom…”
He then glanced around subtly, seeing the princess’ secretary beside the throne—where she should be—and mouthing her a ‘hello’.
The ends of her skirt waved rhythmically to her steps. She was beauty, she was grace. But she’d probably kick someone in the face.
”Greetings~!” Cynthia announced to her inferiors; the maids, butlers, and the other officers. They all bowed down in her presence to which she pulled the edges of her skirt up slightly and politely spoke up the words; ”At ease, everyone”
With those words, the lower officers all returned to their duties.
She then returned to her stroll to which she came across two of her favorite magicians.
”Greetings, Raz~! And good morning to you, Wissian~!” she exclaimed with her usual positive expression.
(I changed the dialogue a bit o~o)
Wissian bowed mockingly, just like he always did—Cynthia knew he meant respect nevertheless.
"A beautiful morning, now that you have graced us, my lady." Wissian's smile was gentle, yet bright, but not impolite.
(Ngl I didn't know what else to say for the time being)
(That is completely fine!)
Cynthia giggled at the magician’s words. She put her hands behind her backs and leaned forward.
”Any updates on the situation about Cershestin? Especially about that handso— I mean, annoying and enraging assassin” the sorceress asked, her face turning a tad bit redder than usual.
(Regarding the updates, you can just make them up :P)
Wissian’s form relaxed a little and he tapped his cheek with one ringed finger. “He’s been inactive as of late, though I hear he’s quite close to their scientist. You know which one I mean, of course. Word has it that they are experimenting with electronic waves that can demolish land, and working them into their weaponry.” The magician mentally noted how Cynthia had corrected herself when describing the assassin——was it possible that she had grown feelings for the man?
Raz bowed in a sweeping motion when Cynthia called her name. "Good morning, my lady! How are you this morning?" She asked, a playful smile lightening up her face. She held a comical amount of scrolls that she almost juggled as Wissian talked.
Mara grinned down at the assassin. "Such formality. I don't see why you bother, but then again, it's probably all that politics shit that you seem to like." She waved her hand, dismissing the guards, who didn't look like they appreciated it.
"I'll be fine," she said, rolling her eyes. "He's my assassin. What's he going to do to me?"
After they left, she turned to Vincent. "It's good to see you again," she said, her face lighting up in that way it usually did when she spoke to someone she trusted. "How was it?"
She had never cared for the actings of court, although she could navigate her group of poisonous, treacherous snakes with her eyes closed. She leaned forward, her Razor climging to her arm, writhing slightly, like a snake. "I want to hear all about it."
With a shake of his head, Galen sighed. "It's a lost cause," he said sadly, looking down at the aged, wounded soldier.
The injury was very gruesome, and lesser men would have thrown up, or left. But he was made of stronger stuff, or at least, he'd like to think so. The soldier was bleeding from a deep stab in the stomach. It hadn't been treated in time, and had gotten infected. The skin around it had rotted, and it smelled terrible. The stitches had just been taken out, and the gut could be seen through the thin layer of skin that Galen had crafted, in an attempt to keep the man alive.
Already, the infection had reached the blood, and it was only a matter of time.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly, to the woman who held the soldier's hand. "I really am. The most I can do is make him comfortable as he goes."
Phoenix stood by the throne watching the assassin. She gave him a tight lipped grin as she needed to maintain appearances, but also recognize his greeting to her. The secretary remained silent as trained since this was a conversation between the princess and the assassin. Though she wasn't to be dismissed as at least someone had to stay to make sure nothing happened to Mara. Even if Phe trusted the assassin well enough.
Cynthia nodded when one of the magician’s present told her about the assassin from that kingdom. So they were working on new ways to demolish places and people eh? She didn’t look so happy when she heard about the so-called ‘electronic waves’. That just sounds like danger to her. With a flick of her wrist, a white chess Knight’s piece appeared in her hand. With another flick, the piece turned into a pair of circular glasses.
She then heard the other magician speak up.
”I am great, thank you Raz” she answered with her playful smile, she did.
She looked at both of the magicians when something clicked.
”Where’s Valerie? Have you two seen her?”
When the soldiers left, Vincent raised from his formal act and became himself again. Behind the closed doors of the throne room, he acted more like a friend to the princess and her secretary than an officer.
”Well, I did manage to sneak into Atruxiavir’s grounds and was quite surprised at what I found. One of the royal guards seem to possess an ability similar to what my goggles can do. It was hard to maneuver around with her constantly looking at me from where she is. Thankfully, she looked like a melee fighter so I was safe” Vincent started with a rant, quite normal for him around people he trusted. He was silent, true, but only outside the throne room and the laboratory.
”I also got this—“ he reached into his pocket ”—along the way” what he got out of his pocket were lines and lines of gold and other jewelry.
”Found some bandits along the way back who threatened me so you know, decapitation seemed necessary” he chuckled slightly at the last part before he looked at the princess’ secretary, wanting her to come take the pieces of jewelry.
(For people in Atruxiavir)
”Heard some of the bandits have been killed, right?” one of the younger knights spoke up.
”Shut up, it’s probably just the rumors” another immediately tried to cover it up. It was probably for the best though as the reports on how the bandits were killed were palace-only information.
Even then, the schedule for royal activities did not change and it was about time the bard had entered the throne room to please his queen. And again, everyone in the palace knew about the murders that happened.
Raz shook her head which caused a few scrolls to fall out of her arms. "Not since last night, my lady." She said as she gathered most of the scrolls back into her arms. She finally got a steady hold on them when stuff a few into her pockets. "I think she said something about practicing a few spells? I wasn't paying attention." She admitted with a apologetic smile.
Cynthia giggled a bit when she saw Raz’s actions. Somethings never change do they?
”That’s alright—“ she started ”—then it’s got to be one of you”
She got out a folded piece of paper to which she unfolded to read the content.
”This afternoon, we’re welcoming two special guests from the two other kingdoms; a royal guard from Atruxiavir and the head scientist from Cershestin. One of you will have to be the one to welcome them and lead them to the meeting room. I’ll have one of my secretaries be the one to do the talking. They’re coming here to talk about situations regarding our three kingdoms; both good ones and bad ones”
When Varsha entered the throne room, she used her power to scan the room, her irises were shining bright yellow.
As usual, there was no one. Of course there wasn't. This is the throne room of her queen, her master, Queen Maerda Auxavire of the Atruxiavir kingdom,
how could anyone sneak in here without her notice it.
"What a boring day…" She sighed.
After she had given the duty to be the royal guard her schedule was relatively boring, there was nothing for her to do except guarding the throne room and follow her queen’s command.
All of a sudden, she spotted something, her eyes then shift to the corner near the corridor in front of the throne room. “An assassin, eh” Varsha locked down the assassin’s position and stared at him, the assassin was surprisingly handsome so she was quite interested in him. But it looks like the assassin noticed that she had been watching him so he fled away. She saw him exited the castle so she figured that there’s no point in chasing him anyway. After the assassin left, she walked up to the queen’s bedroom to check up on her.
Valerie stepped out from where she had been hidden running through her spellbook. The spellbook was still in her arms in all it's worn down leather-bound glory. Her hair was slightly frazzled indicating she had been messing around with something on the more, explosive end of the spectrum. She gave a quick nod and smile to the Great sorceress, "I'm here my lady. I was, in fact, practicing my spells. I heard something about guests coming to the kingdom?"
Phoenix stepped forward a slight limp to her step, but not to the point it was noticeable to most. She had been having a bad day when it came to walking and such. Taking the jewelry from the assassin the secretary returned back to her place beside the princess on her throne. Her face gave only a slight smile at the assassins recounting of his journey to Atruxiavir and back.
Echo had finally entered the throne room, wondering whether he was late or not, since he didn’t have a watch on him. The room seemed to be empty, so he simply took his violin out of it’s case and started to tune it, even though he did it earlier. Well, you gotta be sure. As he was doing this, he was wondering if an assassin was still here, since he heard about some murders from a couple of staff, trying to be discreet.
The sorceress let out a soft ‘ah’ when she spotted Valerie, the last of her three magicians.
”Indeed dear. Two guests, to be exact. We need one of you three to welcome them into the palace and… check them for potential dangers” the sorceress nodded as she spoke.
The assassin nodded gratefully to the secretary. He’d been tired, yes, but now was not the time to show such expressions. Before the secretary returned to her spot, he asked her: ”Any events scheduled today? For myself or that mad science man?”
Some of the officers started coming into the throne room. Some even gathered around the bard, curious in what he was doing. It was true, most of the guards did not exactly take education pass the third grade so they did not know a lot of things especially those within the art realms.
Phoenix turned back to the assassin. She thought for a moment running through the days' schedule for all of the royal attendants and came across one thing for the scientist, "Ah yes. Krueger is going to the Setriutan capital for talks about the conflicts between the kingdoms. I do hope he is on his way, if not leaving soon."
"I could do it," Valerie offered quickly. She enjoyed meeting new people and this would be a great chance to meet people from the other kingdoms on somewhat friendly grounds, "I have a spell that would allow me to do it quickly. Though I understand if you don't want me too."
