She went into her room, where she sat down and took off her jacket. There was a large patch of blood in her white shirt
Phillip was watching the captain from the shadows.
“For fuck’s sake..” she muttered under her breath, scanning the room for something to clean herself up with
Phillip suppressed a surprised yelp. It seemed as if she had a mortal wound.
She took a piece of cloth from her table and unbuttoned the bottom of her shirt, pressing the cloth against the wound
Why did they speak of her dying as if it were an everyday thing? Phillip thought.
She let her back rest against the wall, sighing
Phillip stood there, waiting to see what would happen.
“You know, I appreciate not being watched” she said nonchalantly, “So if you’d kindly either go or come in”
Phillip started, then stepped forward.
"I want to know what's going on. Why did you talk about dying the way you did earlier?"
“Ah, so you were listening..”
"I only heard the last part." Phillip looked at her sie.
"Seriously, what's going on?"
“I’d hoped you hadn’t heard,” she sat up properly, “Then I wouldn’t have to explain”
Phillip rolled his eyes.
"Well, I heard, and you're gonna have to explain."
(doesn't seem like a way to speak to your captain)
(Phillip doesn't really care about being a pirate; he's just there until the heat on him dies down)
(To be fair, kirimi sees the crew as equals)
“And if I don’t?”
"Well, I'll still be really confused. And confused crewmembers sometimes set fire to the boat."
“It’d turn out worse for you if you did that, you know”
"I never said I would do it; it was simply an observation."
“I speak about death the way I do because it doesn’t bother me, Phillip”
"Oh? And why's that?"
“It’s effects don’t extend to me, I suppose you could say”
