Viva watched Lewis collapse as Eleos's voice rang out. Her friends ran towards Lewis, but Viva was frozen in dread. Mortified. She was so scared about people finding out about her "deepest and darkest fears" that she couldn't even go over to comfort Lewis. What sort of a friend was she? As if responding to her fear, Eleos said…
"I know your deepest and darkest fears. The part of you that inspire pity, I know inside and out.
Lewis, who is afraid of how powerless. Ari, who fears she will fail as an older sister and fears fire. Siren, who is afraid of herself. Viva, who's afraid of her own feelings for people and will never stop blaming herself for what happened to Sam. Sienne, who is afraid that she will never be listened to. Miles, who is afraid of being forgotten, excluded, unimportant and losing his friends. Perth… well my dear, unfortunately, I'm not allowed to reveal anything about you, much as I would like to."
Viva reeled, the name Sam hitting her like a blow. Blinking back tears, she watched her friends stumble as if Eleos had struck them. The little voice in Viva's head had used those same words as Eleos many times. It was as if Eleos had looked straight into Viva's soul and plucked out her most troubled thoughts. As the memories of Sam began to wash over her, Viva sobbed, but she managed to pull herself together to talk to Eleos. "I-I believe you," Viva muttered miserably. How could she not? How could anyone but the goddess of pity know that about her. Not that she deserved pity. It was her fault. Her fault. Sam was dead because of her curse.
Eleos looked at her. "I am sorry for the burden you carry Viva," she whispered. Now that Viva and the others didn't doubt her, Eleos's voice was kind. "Anyway, I did not come to upset you all. That was not my intention. I have details about the first part of your quest that you all need to hear."
Viva made her way over to the rest of her friends, hardly listening to Eleos as she talked about Charon's barge. She stood next to Miles who looked like someone had just slapped him. "Hey, you ok?" she managed to ask.
Miles snapped out of his trance. "Yeah," he answered, his voice cracking a little. He cleared his throat. "Yeah, I'm fine,"
Viva gave him a small smile. "If you need to talk about it, I'm here Miles."
Inside she was screaming at herself. What do you think you're doing you absolute idiot! Do you want another Sam? You know where this is going! But she kept talking, "that's what friends are for right."
Eleos continued to talk to them about their quest, but the only one who seemed to be listening properly was Perth. Likely because Perth was the veteran. Her instincts probably still remained, even if she had amnesia.
"Yeah, that's what friends are for," he agreed, nodding. He silently scolded himself for thinking they'd be anything other than friends.
Viva's felt horrible at the tinge of disappointment colouring Miles' tone. It wasn't as if she was satisfied with only being friends either. As soon as she had this thought she tried to take it back. They couldn't be more than friends. If Viva truly cared about Miles she had to try not care about Miles. The whole curse was just diabolical.
At least he isn't asking about what Eleos said, Viva comforted herself as she resisted the urge to throw something in frustration and heartbreak. This curse was going to drive her mad one day. Viva had the horrible realisation that driving her mad was probably the curses intended purpose, which did nothing to improve her mood.
Miles looked back at Eleos, trying to avoid eye contact with Viva. Looking at Eleos eliminated every emotion except fear and sleepiness.
Miserable, Viva plopped down onto the floor. She wanted to talk to Miles, but that would probably just make things worse.
As Viva looked up at Eleos, she felt the waves of pity radiating off her, and couldn't stop herself. She finally burst into tears.
(I’ve got to go to bed, but I’ll be back on in the morning. Night!)
(night)
(Ari is talking to Siren Meow146. pls answer.)
(I'm just going to leave her staring into space. I have a way for her to snap out of it)
While Siren was zone out the ground around her turned to fire out of nowhere. The fire than grew to a big wall. Siren didn't notice this due to blurriness coming into her eye. The fire quickly dissapered with Siren sitting there lost.
Lewis wanted to get up and run away, but he was still shaking. He was unaware that Eleos had shown the others their fears too, he had been so hard-stricken by his own. However, Lewis didn't know those were his fears; he thought they were an omen of what was to pass, and that made him even more anxious.
(Hello! Recap, I've been gone for days, literally!)
(They're about to leave for the quest, and Eleos, the goddess of mercy and pity, came into the camp and is giving them a glimpse of what's to come on the quest, as well as a look at everyone's greatest fear.)

(Okay, what is Maze gonna do? Maze is bored.)
(Maze is coming on the quest, right? They're here, too. You can maybe show their greatest fear through a vision, or react to the situation of everyone freaking out.)

(OK)
Maze felt dizzy, she or he, they had no idea who they were. They were forgetting, forgetting everything, forgetting who they were, who they could be. They were falling, into Taurtarus, and they were dying. The death didn't bother them, but the horrid forgetting was what was biting at them. Who were they, what was their name? Darkness ate at them, they were fading, trapped inside a never ending pit of worry, hatred, and they could never get out. Maze was then pulled out of the vision. She gasped, and fell into tears, wondering what that was, how longer the suffering would linger.
Siren turned to fire out of nowhere and when it went out she was gone… Sire found herself in the big house near it's fire. Siren stopped she looked around blinking and she fell to her knees. "What happened?" She said, "Last I knew I was outside near the fire pit frozen! Oh well to bad for me." Siren sat there worndering what happened getting up and brushing of ash.
(we are not so active today.)
(Sorry I was gone for so long! And Sienne's fear is spot on! Great job @BookAddict!)
Sienne hugged her llama closer as she came back from a horrible vision where she and her friends were stuck. She had tried to tell them something and tried to make them listen, but they acted as if she wasn't there. Sienne was frozen and tears started to roll down her cheeks. She started to breath quickly with short breaths and tightened her grip on her llama, trying to tell herself that would never happen, but to no avail.
(Yeah, I'm off of spring break now, so I'll mostly be on at night and on weekends until school ends)
(Tomorrow it'll be the same for me)
(Ari is scared of both those things, however fire is not her greatest fear. She, like Lewis, fears loosing the friends that she has just met. And she does fear not being able to be a good sister to Siren and she's afriad that she won't be able to take charge.))
(poor Ari)
