(should we wait for wake-read-eat-sleep?)
(Yeah)
(Probably)
(Sorry I wasn't here! Loads of homework. Let's begin!)
(Yes!)
(Yay!)
The campfire was now glowing green.
"I know, It's not my fault the world is going to end," Perth growled at the Ares cabin, who were all staring at her like she was extraterrestrial being sharing wisdom. "If you don't want it to end, let me go on this quest."
Perth glanced at some of the other campers. Someone had to go with her to save the world, Rachel Dare said so.
'A friend of a foe' would come on the quest with her, according to the prophecy. 'A hunter of eternity' would come with her too. There were lots of other lines about who she will take with her, but those were the two that stood out most.
"What just happened?" Sienne signed. She was still new to the camp, so everything going on was new to her.
"A prophecy happened." Perth informed the new girl.
"What does that mean?" She was lucky someone new ASL.
Arianna stared into the fire, hands in between her knees, thinking.
Ari stood up and walked over to Perth and put her hand on the distressed girl's shoulder. "Just take a deep breath Perth."
Sienne noticed everyone was either chattering with their friends or sitting in thought. She tried to get the attention of someone to see if she could find out what all this was about. One girl with long black hair that almost looked green because of the fire caught her eye. Do you know ASL? she wrote in the sand in front of the girl.
(Okay, I'm doing Latin homework, and may not be the most active, but I'm here)
Ari shook her head at the girl. Sorry She signed back.
(Wait, do you or don't you? You said no but you signed. Sorry, I'm just a bit confused.)
Lewis, who had missed the deliverance of the prophecy, ran out of the Hermes cabin upon hearing the news. He at first paid the girls no mind.
Sienne ran after the boy who had just ran past. She had seen him around the camp, so she assumed he knew what this was about. When he sat down, she wrote in the sand again. Do you know ASL?
(I meant, no, sorry.)
(No problem, that's what I assumed. :))
(Gotcha)
Lewis stopped in his tracks. He was a little nervous, and that was clear. He had been taught some signing before, but he wasn't the best at it. "A little," he replied, making sure to speak as well so that if she didn't understand the signing, she could maybe read his lips.
Sienne was glad someone could possibly tell her what had just happened. "Do you know what happened just now? With the prophecy? I'm still new, so I don't get what all this means," she signed, hoping he would be able to explain with the sign language he knew, "If you can't explain in signs, I can read your lips."
Lewis sighed in relief. "It was just that. A prophecy. Usually when we have those, they explain a grim event that will come to pass, and hint at the heroes it will take to save us. We send heroes to go on quests in order to save us. Some prophecies are more dire than others. As for what it was about? I'm just as lost as you are. I was asleep when someone came in screaming about a prophecy."
Ari turned to look at Lewis. "Why were you sleeping???" She asked.
