The movie had ended and they were one of last few people in the theater. "Shall we?"
"We shall," Paige grinned, standing up.
Darren also stood up with a yawn and a stretch that lifted his shirt slightly.
Paige couldn't help but look as what showed of Darren's abs. She knew that she was looking for to long, but she couldn't help it.
Darren looked at her with a sly smile, "See something you like honey?"
Paige quickly looked away, yet again, blushing furiously.
Darren laughed, so easy to make her blush. He began walking toward then exit, hand swinging freely at his side.
Paige followed him, not paying attention to the swing of his hand until it hit her out of the blue.
Darren smiled at her sweetly as the walked.
Paige smiled back shyly. Her watch buzzed. School was out. She'd officially ditched.
"So did you enjoy your first ditch day?"
"Yes, it was great!" Paige said, her hand brushing against Darren's.
Darren smiled and slowly laced their hands together.
Paige closed her eyes. A sudden though hit her, bring a wave of panic with it. What will my parents think?!
"Hey, you okay?" He said when she closed her eyes.
Her eyelids flew open. "My parents…" She moaned aloud.
Darren chuckled, "What about your parents?"
"They'll find out that I skipped." Paige began to panic.
"Not if you don't tell them….."
"They probably already know. My mom's best college friend has the room right beside Mrs. Callop's (her science teacher). Why didn't i think about that…"
"The other teachers don't care about attendance so just tell them that you were in the nurses office for that class, you weren't feeling well,"
Paige bit her lip. "You think that they'll buy it?"
"What reason do they have not to," He said confidently.
"I… don't know," Paige admitted. She moved a little closer to him, partially hoping that some if his confidence would rub off on her.
Darren nodded, "I mean or you could tell them that the quarterback kidnapped you and forced you to go all over town with him,"
