"I don't agree with that logic," he grumbled, batting her hand away. "I cannot see the use in waiting."
"I don't agree with that logic," he grumbled, batting her hand away. "I cannot see the use in waiting."
"Ha, there you go!" She grinned and poked his chest again. "You said don't. And you don't agree with anything."
"Bah. You heathens are influencing me in a bad way," he said in a mock-grumpy attitude. "Pretty soon I will be cursing up a storm and getting drunk every night."
She grinned, leaning over him so their faces were aligned. "Why's that such a bad thing, Prince Anthony?"
"Hm…." he smiled back. "Not much, I suppose. Beats the alternative of a gruesome death at the hands of revolutionists."
"Indeed it is," she agreed, then held out a hand to brace herself as she continued to lean over so that she and Anthony's faces were still level.
A light blush crept on his face. "So….are those feelings about me still conflicted?"
She smirked at his blush, then tilted her head and looked off to the side. "If you make me think about it, yes, but if I'm just…sitting here with you, no."
"That's….good." Then, a move that surprised everyone, he gently turned her face to look at his and brought his lips to her's.
Fane—Rosia—froze in slight shock, then hesitantly returned the kiss. She was unsure of what to do, but she followed Anthony's lead.
After a few moments, he pulled away, a weird look on his face. He noticed her hesitation. "Am….did I do something wrong?"
She made a small noise and shook her head, sitting up to run a hand through her hair. "No, no, you didn't. I just…I'm new to all of this."
"A pirate….that is new to kissing?" he asked, an obviously relieved look on his face.
She scoffed and lightly smacked his chest, hiding her blush with her hair as she looked away. "You don't see me joining in on the makeout sessions on this ship, do you?" She had openly opposed to it that one time.
"That is true," he said, reaching his arm out to readjust the ice on his leg. "I thought that I had read the signals wrong when you didn't seem to enjoy it."
She shook her head and moved so she was laying next to him instead of sitting, moving onto her side so she was facing him, despite her slowly fading blush. "No, you just…caught me off guard."
"I see that now." He laid back down on his back, letting out a sigh. "I was not sure what I was expecting, to be honest. I was just hoping to not get slapped."
"Well, mission accomplished," she said with a soft smile, then bit her lip and leaned over before she could chicken, her lips pecking his cheek before she pulled back and hid her face with her hair. This is why she never got close to people—she was just a mess covering it up with a smug attitude.
He smiled happily, looking over at her with a glow in his eyes. "You really are a mess."
"Shuddup," she mumbled, then went the extra mile and rolled onto her other side so her back was to the prince. "I'm a lonely pirate, I know."
"Not anymore you aren't," he said, rolling over and slowly snaking an arm around her side. "Damnit, I used another compound word."
She grinned, though he couldn't see it. "And swore, princy. I'm corrupting you," she cooed, tilting her head back to look up at him.
"Mmmph," he grumbled, scowling. "I need no reminding of how much of a bad influence you are on me."
"And yet here you are," she gestured to his arm around her, "preventing me from getting away. How very contradicting."
"Well, since I am not allowed to walk, neither are you," he said mischievously, hugging her a bit tighter.
