"I'm sure you do. And I'm sure you're adorable when you do. And I'm sure I don't." He smiled a little, looking over at her.
"I'm sure you do. And I'm sure you're adorable when you do. And I'm sure I don't." He smiled a little, looking over at her.
"You're crazy. You're always adorable. And I will stick by that opinion whether you like it or not." She smiled, kissing his cheek softly.
He let out a long sigh. "I guess you'll just be wrong then." The warmth from her lips spread throughout his entire body, warming whatever cold that came from the wind.
The wind was gentle but cold, making her shiver and curl up on herself. "Really should've brought a jacket. Idiot." She muttered to herself.
"Here." He grunted as he sat up. He took off his jacket and laid it on top of her. "That better?"
She sat up slightly, wrapped it around her, and laid back down. "Mmm, much." Ahhh, the classic cliche of a girl stealing her boyfriend's jacket. How cute.
He smiled a little before laying back down. "Good."
She cuddled into his side, staring up at the sky with a soft smile.
He brought her a little closer. He wrapped his arms around her in attempt to warm her up a little. "They're really amazing. Like, how we can see so many in some places but, like, none in others?" He paused before adding under his breath, "Stupid light pollution."
She laid her head on his shoulder, just glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. He's so cute. And somehow he's mine.
"And also, the way that stars are composed, all their mass is pulling it inward. If it weren't for one force, light, pressing it back, stars would just be collapsing into themselves until the smallest possible size. But with it, once they run out of light resistance, it collapses into a white dwarf."
"I think I figured out a way to get you to be quiet." She chuckled before tilting his head towards her and pressing her lips to his.
He was a bit surprised at first, but she was right. He shut up. She is just one of a kind.
She was a bit nervous, she wasn't used to kissing guys, but the feeling overtook her and she relaxed.
He wished he had the energy and will to kiss her with as much passion before. Instead, he let her lead.
She kept her kiss light, gentle, cautious. He'd been through a lot but she wanted him to know that she was here. He didn't have to feel alone because he wasn't.
He pulled back just a little, just enough to where their lips were still touching. "I- sorry."
She smiled a little. "It's alright, you don't have to apologise to me."
"Yeah, but I just-" he took a breath before leaning back, "-I don't know." It just didn't feel right at the moment.
Should've known better than to be so selfish. Stupid! She forced her thoughts away and laid back down letting the view above her relax her nerves.
"Sorry," he repeated. He could feel the tension as it drifted through between them. He didn't know how to get rid of it. So, he did what he did best, his voice cracking a little around the edges. "It's funny to think that our sun is so small compared to all those little specks. I mean, it obviously isn't that small, but because we're so small it seems so big to us."
She brushed her hair out of her face, caught in the beauty of the stars. She softly started to hum. Heart. Beats fast. Colors and promises. How to be brave? How can I love when I'm afraid to fall. But watching you stand alone? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.
Jackson listened to her hum. He began to hum the harmony part of it subtly. One step closer…
She smiled a little, just continuing her humming. I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more.
He cracked a ile, breaking the hum up. "Man, you're a great hummer." He paused. "That doesn't sound like it's a word, but I know it is. Hummer hummer hummer."
