She sipped the last bit and set her mug aside. "Could I give you my number?"
She sipped the last bit and set her mug aside. "Could I give you my number?"
"Sure of course." He got out an android cell phone from his hoodie pocket and waited
She type in her number handing it back to him. "Alrighty! I put down my name too."
"Coolio. If you need me during the week you can always drop by the studio." He offers
"I'd like that- but where is it?" She asked standing.
"I'll send ya a text." He responds as he collected their cups
She nodded. "Want me to help clean up?" She offered.
"na i'm fine. Get some rest. Tomorrow's a new day."
She gave his shoulder a soft squeeze. "I'm gonna go back to my apartment then, have a good night." She smiled before turning to go leave.
"Goodnight" He responds. After I had cleaned up I sat at the keyboard again, just looking over the handwritten sheet music.
Jo slipped into her apartment and sat on the couch starring off into nothingness. "Alright Jo-jo you need to pull yourself together."
Tempest put up the sheet and started to get ready for bed. "You can do it Temp…she would want you to move on."
She stood up and made her way to the bathroom to clean her face. She pulled off her over shirt standing in a tank top. She placed her hands on either side of the sink and looked at her reflection. She sighed and splashed her face. "You'll be fine. You just have to get over it."
Soon enough I climbed into my bed, hitting a button on a remote to play soft white noise. in this case, gentle rain.
She cleaned her face and made her way to her room. "Ok Jo, you can move on."
Tempest slowly slips into an uneasy sleep.
Joanna sits on her bed knowing she isn't going to be able to sleep. She takes a deep breath and lays back on the bed.
Tempest keeps waking up from his sleep as memories from the hospital Rose spent her final months of life plagued his dreams.
Joanna sighs and sits up heading out to the small deck to catch a breath. "Who am I kidding I'll never be able to sleep."
Tempest spent the night working on some tracks, cleaning a bit, and finally exiting his room to take a walk outside in the bitter cold.
Joanna heard the sliding and click of the glass sliding door open. But it didn't have the spring noise hers did. She glanced over her shoulder to see Tempest. "Can't sleep?" She asked.
He just shook his head as Tempest shut the door behind himself "nope and neither can you?"
"I never can. The fun of insomnia." She mumbled rubbing her face.
"Oh man that sucks. ADHD myself." He said "Think I took my meds too late in the day."
She nodded. "It does suck, seems like it for you too." She said not ever looking at him. She only starred at the stars.
