"umm…Tension Tamer. It's a brand name tea my sister got for me."

She nodded. "Oh- alright." She mumbled sitting down at the table and laying her face down on it.

he heated the water for the tea and sat down next to her smiling warmly as they waited

"So, what's your sister's name?" She asked lifting her head.

"Ember…she's a police officer in the area, so you probably seen her around but didn't know it was her."

"Does she look like you?" She asked with a smile. "Cause I may recognize her randomly out on the street one day."

"Na she has like jet black hair, green eyes, more tan than me…she took after dad more and I look more like my mom."

She nodded. "I may have seen her- but I wouldn't put two and two together." Joanna yawned.

Tempest got back up and soon came back with two mugs, each filled with the tea. He sat back down next to her and sipped the tea. "Careful it's a bit hot right now."

She nodded and sat up fully holding the warm mug in both hands. "I'll probably have to go to work with you tomorrow so I can go get my car." She mumbled taking a small sip.

"Well yeah that makes sense." Temp responded with a little chuckle. He didn't care her eyeliner was smeared, or her hair a bit of a mess for she was her and that was enough, Temp liked this woman, and it seemed that she felt the same.

She smiled at him taking another larger sip. "What time-" She yawned again. "Sorry, what time do I have to get up?" She asked setting the mug aside. SHe pulled her hair out of the pony tail and ran her finger through it pulling it into a bun.

"About 6:30, gotta be there by 7am." Tempest responded, not able to take his eyes off of her

She nodded. "And what time is it now?" She asked picking up her mug again drinking it. She honestly hadn't noticed, and it wouldn't have bothered her either way. She didn't want to have to leave Tempest but she may crash if she didn't soon.

He checked the clock on his kitchen wall "10:40" he said, looking back at her "You can go home if you need to get some sleep…if you're able to that is."

"I'm going to finish this tea then let you head to bed. I don't want to keep you up all night." Joanna replied smiling before taking another sip.

"alright then, I hope the tea helps you sleep." Tempest takes another sip as well. He would see her tomorrow and if she ever needed him, well he'd be right across the hall.

She drank the last sip and stood. "Thank you so much Temp." She yawned walking over to him.

He stood as well, a little smile on his face as she got closer

"Hug before I go?" She asked holding her arms open.

Tempest hugged Joanna in a warm caring embrace, happy as could be at this point, if a little tired.

Joanna smiled and pulled away. And in her drowsy state, without much notice she did, she stood on her toes and kissed his cheek. "Night Temp." She smiled before walking out and heading to her own apartment.

a crimson blush spread across the young adult's face as he was kissed, warth spreading right were she connected "Night Jo." he muttered, starting to clean up the kitchen, thoughts now brimming in his mind

Joanna shuffled into her room and tossed her shoes aside going and cleaning her face. "Allright Jo-Jo you gotta go to sleep so you can wake up tomorrow."

Tempest took a warm shower, of course singing in the shower cause that's just the silly kind of guy he was, not knowing what to do with his joy
