Part of the car blew up, consequently, Indra came flying past Carrio, smashing into a tree.
He groaned, but steadily got to his feet. He moved his leather jacket out of the eay so it wouldn't be smoke-stained.
After, he went back into rhthe wreckage again.
Carrio jumped to his feet as Indra went flying.
“Are you okay?” He caught Indra by the shoulder.
"It's fine." Indra said, brushing the bark from his thermal. The car was being uncooperative, as inanimate objects tend to do. Starting to get pissy, Indra simply opened the vehicle up, tearing the side open.
He finally finished the taak of getting everyone out as sirens wailed behind them.
Carrio ran over to greet the medical personel after healing the other people Indra salvaged. He explained what happened as another person helped the people into the truck.
The car started to catch fire, as the authorities got ready to deal with it.
"You okay? Carrio?"
Carrio walked over to Indra. “Yeah. They said we can leave, now.” Carrio examined Indra.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
"Yeah. I'm fine." He said. The car had one last explosion left in it, spraying scalding water in their direction. Indra shielded Carrio lightly, and goes to gather his leather jacket.
"Let's get out of here first."
Carrio rubbed his chin, stepping back away from the spray.
“Yeah. Where should we go now?”
"How about we go get into some new clothes.
As they walked, Indra looked back at Carrio.
"So… Nice moves back there." He said, aa the blisters under his shirt began to heal.
Carrio grunted. “I didn’t do much. You were the one who was doing the hero-ing.”
"But you helped those people, and got to the authorities. That counts for something." Indra said, patting him on the shoulder. Je folded his smoke-stained leather jacket in his arm.
Carrio gave another disgruntled shrug. “I could’ve helped more. I could’ve done so much more, too.”
"Jesus, you find a way to gripe about everything." Indra chuckled. The two of them finally got to the cafe crosswalk.
Carrio turned his gaze away and didn’t respond. He knew Indra was kidding but Carrio knew he truly did harp on about himself too much.
Indra saw how Carrio reacted, and approached him, hugging the bookkeeper pretty awkwardly.
Carrio didn’t hug back, just accepted the hug. He let Indra hug him, then he himself slowly hugged Indra back.
(The ship develops!)
"Now then… I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Indra says, starting to put on his bile helmet.
Carrio nodded, pulling out his keys. “Sure. Tomorrow at eight.”
"Exactly." Indra said, starting up his bike. He roared off, to his apartment.
Again Indra walked into the library. This time, he wore an expensive blavk and white suit with black shoes, belt and watch.
"How's it going, Carrio?" He asked.
Carrio was sitting at the desk, stamping new books. He didn’t look up when Indra entered, and he was wearing a light gray sweater-vest with a black bowtie.
“Hey Indra. It’s going fine.”
"You eat this morning?" Indra asked, starting to get to work.
