"A strange way to live, but it seems to go fairly well for him." Lucas shrugged, tucking the key back in his pocket again.

"That's how heroes are. Anyways, let's move on." she said, leading Lucas to a bowling alley, and next some sort of laboratry. Then she led him to the movie theater. "I discovered this place a while ago but never could figure out how it worked so I never bothered to try." she said.

@Fraust

"The screen looks… different. I dunno, I've never seen anything like it before." Lucas looked around the room curiously, taking it all in. Susan had been here much longer than him, and not even she knew what all this blue police box had in store.

"Anyways, want to see the library? Well, the archives technically, but it's a library to me." Susan asked.

@Fraust

"There's a library?" Lucas asked with a hint of excitement in his voice. He had always loved reading; it was an outlet for him when he had no one to turn to. He knew he'd be in the library a lot once he knew where it was.

Deleted user

"Yeah, it's just this way. Harry spends most of his time there, if you run into him just ignore him, trust me, you should just leave him alone." she said, walking out into the corridor.

Susan opened a door made of dark colored wood with a brass doorknob. When you looked in, you saw endless shelves of books, the library seemed to go on for miles and miles. "It took the Doctor a few decades to read a small portion of these, even without the adventures. It's really a beautiful and astonishing place." she said.

@Fraust

"Where did he get all these books?" Lucas walked along the rows of books, running his fingers along the spines. He had felt a calming aura as soon as he walked in here. The smell of books, the silence… it was just really relaxing to be here, in the presence of all these books.

Deleted user

"Well, most of them were here when he first stol- I mean, boarded the TARDIS, but some he collected on his travels, others just appeared here at random."

@Fraust

Stole? Did he not create it? Lucas decided not to ask questions about it, pulling a book off the shelf at random. It was in a language he didn't know, but it was a lovely rich red color with gold around the edges. Whatever it was, it intrigued him.

"Oh, hello there, Susan." a voice chirped from behind them. A tall man walked over to a shelf and picked up a book that had similar symbols as were engraved on Lucas's key and sat down in a velvety red chair, flipping through pages of the book. "I suppose the Doctor picked up someone new. Strange, he doesn't normally travel with children. Younger children, anyways, I count you as a child to be honest. Humans, such short lifespans." he chuckled, smiling. But there was something, well, off about that smile that you just couldn't put your finger on. It was calm, but strange. It was almost, well, wrong in a way. "I'm just showing him around, Harry. This is Lucas, he's going to be travelling with us." she said stiffly, her eyes seemed to glare at the man even if the rest of her face didn't.

@Fraust

Lucas looked up at the man curiously. Is this the Harry that she keeps talking about? "Er… h-hello, sir. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." He nodded politely, still holding the strange book.

Deleted user

"I suppose this is the point in the conversation where I tell you that I'm pleased to make your acquaintance as well, but I'm really not. And yes, I am the 'Harry' that Susan keeps talking about." he said. Susan rolled her eyes.

@Fraust

"W-What? How… how did you know what I was thinking?" Harry was sort of intimidating Lucas, and it was pretty obvious. He didn't like it when people could 'read' him.

Deleted user

"It's a Time Lord trick, any member of our species can do it. But normally they have to touch a person first, I'm just more skilled than most so I can do it from long distances. The Doctor doesn't like it when I do it, but I don't see any harm in it." he said. Susan muttered a few profanities under her breath, she always hated when Harry would do this.

@Fraust

Lucas looked up at Susan nervously. He didn't want to think at all, honestly. He felt vulnerable and as though any of his thoughts or memories could be easily accessed at any moment. It was a little bit terrifying. He didn't know Harry all that well, but he didn't really need to know that practically his entire family was dead.

Deleted user

"Well, I suppose the conversation has ended. Good day. Or is it night, you never know with time travel." he said, going back to reading his book.

@Fraust

After just standing in silence for a moment, Lucas turned back to the book. He kept stealing anxious glances over at Henry every once in a while, but he kept quiet.

"Erm…. do you want to stay here?" Susan asked Lucas, glancing over at Harry/The Master. "I mean, you can, I suppose, but erm…." she trailed off. "What she means to say is that she doesn't trust me around other people and would rather either you leave or I do." he said. "WILL YOU JUST…. not?" Susan asked, exasperated. This man was driving her up the wall.

@Fraust

"Whatever you want to do is fine with me, Susan." Lucas gently placed the strange book back on its shelf. It wasn't like he actually understood what it said, anyways. He didn't know whatever language it was in.

Deleted user

"Just… oh, forget it." she muttered, walking out of the library. (Bye!)

@Fraust

Lucas cast another glance at Harry before trotting after Susan in silence. "How… how far away can he read our thoughts from?"

Deleted user

"Honestly, I wouldn't even attempt to guess. Probably not very far, hopefully. Either way, the TARDIS has enough mental traffic in her already, so a mental connection would pretty hard to establish." she said.
