Marla set her forearms down on either side of Gwen’s head, letting her eyes fall shut as their lips met. She allowed herself to slip away into a sea of hazy euphoria where only the two of them existed, together as always.
They’d been together for almost three weeks now, and they had been the happiest three weeks of Marla’s entire life. She was now almost completely comfortable around her girlfriend, and had no doubt that Gwen felt the same about her.
Gwen melted as soon as Marla’s lips touched hers, kissing her back with fervor. The past three weeks had been incredible. And it was here, cuddling and kissing in her girlfriend’s dorm room, that she felt almost invincible.
“You drive me crazy….” she breathed, pulling back and resting her forehead on top of Gwen’s. “You know that, right?”
“Mhm.” Gwen murmured, still in a daze. “You drive me crazy too.” Her ears flicked back, relaxed as Gwen wrapped her arms loosely around Marla’s waist.
They’d begun to get more adventurous with each other, sneaking the occasional, teasing open-mouthed kiss, bumping hips, pressing eachother up against walls and generally anything they could find.
Now, Marla pushed her hands into Gwen’s hair, eyes roaming over every inch of her perfectly constructed face. “You’re so beautiful…”
Gwen’s face flushed faintly. “Not as beautiful as you, Princess. Nothing can compare to those eyes of yours.”
Marla, who had gained a lot of confidence over the past few weeks, slipped her arms beneath Gwen and rolled, flipping them both over in one smooth move that left the other girl straddling her waist. “My bland, watery eyes have nothing against yours.”
Gwen giggled, kissing Marla’s forehead. “Don’t ever hate on your adorable eyes. They’re like puddles and I love them.”
Marla gave a slightly breathless grin, raising her eyebrows. “Puddles?”
“Like the pool at the bottom of a marble fountain.” Gwen reiterated, gently tracing Marla’s jawline with her finger.
“Very poetic..” she murmured, a light blush coating her cheeks. “Are you going to kiss me or not?”
“You read my mind.” Gwen gently pressed her lips to Marla’s. She always kissed her girlfriend as though she were something fragile, acting as gentle as possible.
(Confirmed: Marla is top, Gwen is bottom)
“Gay minds think alike…” she murmured, accepting the kiss and slinging her arms around Gwen’s neck.
(Absolutely lmao)
“I noticed that.” Gwen remarked, grinning softly. “Can we just stay here all day?”
(XD)
“Yes please…” she murmured, sighing in contentment.
All of a sudden, a heart-wrenching scream shattered the air, audible even from the confines of the dorm room.
Gwen’s wars flattened as she froze in terror. “M-Marla?! What was that?”
Marla rolled out from underneath Gwen, her heart thumping with wild abandon as she ran to the window and threw it open, eyes scanning the courtyard below.
What she saw made her stop dead. “Oh my god…”
“Marla? Marla, what’s wrong?” Gwen didn’t have to courage to creep up behind her girlfriend to look. Instead she sat on the edge of the bed, her skin pale from anxiety.
The blood drained from Marla’s face.
“Shit.” Her voice broke. She stumbled back from the window and ran to the door, flinging it open.
“Marla!” Gwen ran after her, afraid of what her girlfriend could be getting into.
Marla sprinted down the hallway, fear giving her feet wings. She stumbled into the elevator, barely having the wits to keep the doors open long enough for Gwen to slip in, panic flooding her entire body.
“Marla! Slow down!” Gwen caught up, grabbing ahold of Marla’s arm to comfort her.
Marla’s face was white, her pale eyes staring straight ahead. As soon as the elevator doors slid open she was tearing towards the doors and sprinting out into the courtyard.
Gwen took off after her, a million questions running through her head over what could set Marla off.
Marla came to a stumbling stop just a few feet away from from a pool of crimson, a twisted, broken body.
Chelsea.
