Gwen wipes at her eyes as well, smiling softly. “This is the first time I’ve ever been happy to wake up.”
Gwen wipes at her eyes as well, smiling softly. “This is the first time I’ve ever been happy to wake up.”
Marla’s heart broke, just a little. “You never want to wake up?” she whispered, those words awfully familiar but equally, if not more, awful to hear.
“More kisses before tragic backstory. Coffee too.” Gwen nuzzled closer to Marla, seeking comfort from her.
“Deal,” Marla agreed, somewhat worriedly (is that a word? Sure hope so). She hooked her legs around Gwen’s waist and rolled them both over until she was straddling the other girl’s middle, leaning in for a good-morning kiss.
Gwen propped herself up, her eyes still shut as she softly kissed Marla back. “You’re the best, Princess.” She mumbled quietly, draping her arms around Marla’s shoulders.
(Worriedly is a word lol)
(Rip)
Marla answered by softening their shared kisses, not pulling back when her nose bumped up against Gwen’s. She only gave a quiet giggle and kept going, letting a bubble of hazy bliss engulf them both.
Gwen wrapped her arms loosely around Marla’s neck, a soft grin lighting up her features. “The sun is too bright.” She complained quietly.
Marla tried to curve her body in a way that would shield Gwen’s eyes from the harsh sunlight, enjoying the drowsy feeling of being caught in this morning lover’s daze. “Mmhm. How’d you sleep?”
“Perfectly.” Gwen smiled lazily, playing with Marla’s hair. She twirled her fingers through the blonde locks, yawning widely.
“Good.” Marla leaned into Gwen’s touch, stifling a small yawn. “I’m glad.”
“Five more minutes of sleep?” Gwen pouted, begging Marla.
“We’ll never get up at this rate…” Marla grumbled good-naturedly, nudging Gwen’s nose with hers. “Here, I’ll cut you a deal. Any sort of romantic reward from me you’ll want, you get if you’re up and dressed in the next… fifteen minutes?”
“Deal. Wake me up in ten minutes. I’ll get ready in five.” Gwen flopped back down, hiding her face underneath a blanket,
“You’re impossible,” Marla muttered, amused as she rolled off of her girlfriend and got to her feet.
“I’m efficient!” Gwen protested, still hiding.
Marla snorted loudly, but not unkindly. “Right, okay.”
She disappeared into the washroom and emerged a few minutes later in a pale blue, lacy top and simple black leggings, approaching Gwen and tapping her on the shoulder. “Alright, time to get up now..”
Gwen forced herself into a sitting position, her sleepy smile directed at Marla. “How do you look so pretty all the time?l
Marla flushed, tucking a lock of platinum hair behind her ear. “Hey, you’re not allowed to make me flustered before you get dressed,” she teased lightly, biting the inside of her cheek.
“That’s a dumb rule.” Gwen got off the mattress and stretched, stumbling forward several times.
“You’d better get ready quick then,” she answered playfully, turning away and tugging one of the blankets off of their air mattress.
“I’m going, I’m going.” Gwen meandered over to her bag, grabbing the spare clothes she brought with her. “Be right back.” She announced, heading to the bathroom.
Marla nodded and pressed her face up against the window, staring at the beautiful sight of the campus spread out beneath them.
Gwen got changed and came out of the bathroom, yawning. “What time is it?”
Marla checked her watch, giving her girlfriend a grin. "Five seconds more, and you wouldn't have gotten your prize. It's almost ten."
“Don’t ever doubt me, Princess.” Gwen winked playfully. “Could you braid my hair? I don’t feel like doing it.”
