Marla’s cheeks heated up. “Not true…” she mumbled, stifling a yawn.

“So true.” Gwen yawned as well. “Cuddles?”

“Definitely,” she agreed as quickly as possible, already pulling Gwen towards the air mattress they’d set up earlier.

Gwen smiled as she allowed herself to be tugged along. “Am I really that good a teddy bear?”

“I guess we’re about to find out.” Marla tugged Gwen down onto the mattress with her and pulled the blankets up over them. “What time is it?”

“My phone is all the way over there. I can’t reach that far.” Gwen pouted, snuggling with Marla underneath the blankets.

Marla chuckled softly, heat and colour rushing to her face. She turned so that Gwen was spooning her, finding the other girl’s hands and pulling them around her waist.

Gwen couldn’t stop smiling, burying her face in Marla’s hair. “You’re incredible.” She whispered softly.

“You’re more incredible,” she whispered back, affection lacing its way through her words.

“You’re also ridiculous.” Gwen mumbled, trying not to doze off.

Marla mumbled something indecipherable, already half asleep.

Gwen allowed herself to fall asleep as well, cradling Marla in her arms.

(uhhh……… the literal crack of dawn, so maybe not lmao

Marla awoke the next morning, not to an empty bed and cool air sliding against her bare, shivering arms, but in the warm, comfortable arms of a young woman. It took her a moment to recall what had happened the previous night, and as soon as she did, she grinned uncontrollably and burrowed deeper into Gwen's embrace.

Gwen was still fast asleep and cuddled up to Marla like she was a teddy bear, snuggling as close as possible to her girlfriend.

"Gwen…." she mumbled, realizing their legs were entangled. "Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey…." Still half asleep and delirious from dreaming, she said the first thing that came to mind.

Gwen’s eyes slowly opened, not quite registering her surroundings. After a moment she took in Marla’s face, a tired smile forming on her own. “Hey, sweetheart.”

Marla’s goofy grin only grew. “G’morning, beautiful,” she mumbled hazily, blinking the gunk out of her eyes.
