“I can’t wait to rub this in my professor’s face.” Gwen smirked, trying not to blush from Marla’s hand. Why do you have to act like a middle schooler every time you like someone?! She silently cursed herself.
“I can’t wait to rub this in my professor’s face.” Gwen smirked, trying not to blush from Marla’s hand. Why do you have to act like a middle schooler every time you like someone?! She silently cursed herself.
“I can’t wait for you to tell me their reaction,” she replied with a small grin, removing her hand and stepping back slightly. “And for my hipster makeover, of course.”
“Oh! Right! That’s what I was saying!” Gwen exclaimed, startling herself a little bit. “I-uh… hold on.” She cradled the plant in one arm, awkwardly pulling her phone out of her bag with the other. “Add your number?”
(I’m sorry I’m taking forever to respond
I’ve just been clicking the rps at the top of my unread I’m sorry
I don’t know where my energy went)
Marla’s heart began to race, but she promptly ignored it, doing as she had been instructed and entering her number into Gwen’s phone. “There you go!”
(Omg don’t feel the need to apologize! I was working on a biology project anyways so I was sort of popping on and off in intervals anyways.)
Gwen beamed at her, silently relieved that she’d gotten that over with. She grabbed her phone, sliding it back into her bag. “Now I need a good aesethetic picture of one of this waddling demons she I have a good filler profile pic for you.” Gwen’s eyes narrowed in determination.
(Sorry if I do that a lot, it’s a bad habit of mine
Good morning
How are you?)
(Also Gwen is like my spirit animal I love her)
Marla grinned playfully, slipping her phone from her back pocket. “Just the demons or do I have to be in it too? And here, you can take it with my phone, if you want.”
“Preferably both.” Gwen smiled, taking Marla’s phone. “But it’s up to you.”
(I’m doing okay, how’re you doing? And Marla is literally me irl)
(lol
Sick again, which I'm very happy about xD
Anything eventful going on with you today?)
(By the way, when I say 'Marla stuck her tongue out between her lips' I mean…. do you ever do that thing, when you're thinking? Where you sort of fold your lips in and stick the tip of your tongue out between them? that was an awful description lmao I'm sorry)
Marla shifted, eyes darting away. She wants me in the picture? I have to…. pose for her? The mere thought added an extra kick to her heartbeat. "Sure, but I have to warn you, I'm not very photogenic."
(I have an essay to write tonight, but otherwise nothing much. And Ik what you’re talking about lol, I have a friend who does that a lot!)
“Somehow I doubt that.” Gwen carefully set down her plant and bag. “Are you trying to tell me you’re not an incognito Instagram model? I feel lied to!” She exaggerated, pretending to swoon.
(lol that's convenient, I didn't want you to think my character was randomly showing off her tongue lmao
Good luck on the essay!)
Marla flushed red, eyes flickering away. "I can definitely assure you that I am neither an Instagram model, nor photogenic." She had no idea how she'd gotten through that whole sentence without stammering, but somehow, she had. "What- What makes you think I'm a model?"
Gwen shrugged, avoiding eye contact. “Just got the vibe.” She replied as casually as she could muster. She fiddled with Marla’s phone for a second before pulling up the camera feature.
(Thanks!)
(np!)
('cuddled with Marla's phone'?)
"Ah." Marla nodded, tugging on her sleeve as Gwen fiddled with her phone. "So, um– what do you want me to do? Just… stand here and smile?"
(Lmao that’s supposed to say fiddled! Autocorrect is out to get me today)
“Whatever feels natural!” Gwen laughed. “But a smile sounds good.”
(lol I feel you there)
Marla bit down on her tongue, trying to think. "How does one pose for a photo?" she muttered under her breath. Eventually, she sighed, an idea struck her. "How about you just.. talk to me. Make me laugh and take pictures in between– I'm not so good at posing, I come out unnaturally."
“Don’t worry, my charming people skills will make this easy.” Gwen teased. “Okay, okay um… tell me your favorite animal.”
Marla couldn't help but get flustered, setting herself up for a picture that was being taken by a cute girl. "Uh– I like elephants. And white mice."
“Aren’t elephants afraid of mice? Isn’t that a thing?” Gwen scrunched up her nose in confusion.
Marla laughed softly, a light breeze ruffling her hair. “I dunno. Either way, both are cute. What’s yours?”
“I don’t know if I really have one.” Gwen shrugged, discreetly snapping a photo of Marla’s smile.
“Okay, then what’s your favourite plant? Or flower? Or tree? Or something,” she tried again.
“I like aloe.” Gwen paused, going pensive for a moment. “Mint too.”
“Mint is nice,” she replied, “Question: do you eat plants? I’d you talk to them, I mean. Are you like… reverse vegetarian?”
Gwen burst out laughing, even snorting once or twice. “No, no! I can’t exactly talk to plants. It’s sort of a linkage thing.” She shook her head, unable to hide her smile. “Though that’d be a great excuse not to eat vegetables.”
Marla turned pink, covering her mouth with one hand. “Sorry— god, I must have sounded so stupid.”
“I think it’s a fair question!” Gwen smiled encouragingly. “Besides, I got that picture anyways.” She walked over to Marla, showing her the picture of herself.
