(Yay!!)
(Yay!!)
(alright awesome! So, do we want to start with the escape, or afterwards? Because I don't care which)
(I say afterwards, but that's just me-)
(I think we should start with the escape. But if you don't want to that's fine.)
(I also think we should start with the escape)
(it looks like most people vote for escape. Sorry Lori! I'll start us off)
Kai had cloaked the group in shadow. It was finally it. Finally rhe day they had decided upon to escape. One of them had stolen the keys from a guard, and now they were making their way out. He kept them in shadow to make it harder to see them. Hopefully that would help them make it further before their escape was discovered. He was limping a little, from an injury from the experimentation, but he knew he couldn't let that slow him down.
Niveus was in the back as usual. He made sure he was always last, at least at a distance from the rest. He was feeling extremely cold at the moment. The scientists and facility people were constantly trying to drop his temperature to an even lower level to see how much he could take. Niveus wasn't sure if this was the best idea though. Sure, the freedom sounded sweet but the what if parts made him want to go back. He had always been loyal to the staff here at the facility since being born. He felt like he was betraying them in a way, even though they had done much worse things to them. He was taught to never doubt them since he could remember, but Kai had convinced him to tag along.
Avery played with a water bottle while wating for the "ok" signal from the others
Veleda was behind Avery. She was watching her play with the water bottle. It helped her take her mind off of the reality of the situation. Veleda's thoughts were suddenly racing through her head again. She was anxious, but then who, in that group, wasn't? If they were caught they'd surely be killed. Veleda didn't want to see them die. She didn't even want to foresee their death.
Luna's in the middle of them all, in case she needs to take care of any guards or anything else. She had wasn't the type to do anything like this, but she knew she had to or else she would keep being experimented on.
Kai glanced around at the others, and kept the blanket of shadow over them. "Keep moving. We're halfway there." He whispered to them. Up ahead were three guards, and he wasn't sure that his shadows would be able to withstand close scrutiny from them.
Luna prepared for having to help take care of the guards if needed.
(ah shoot! Sorry for forgetting, guys!!)
Kai glanced around at the group, then sent shadows snaking along the ground, entangling around the guards legs and covering their mouths so they couldn't call out. I have to end this quickly. He raced ahead of the group, leaving the protective, blanketing shadow behind as he approached the guards.
Niveus watched as Kai took down a group of guards singlehandedly. But he was too busy watching Kai to notice the other guards that had crept up on them from behind, having seen past the shadow blanket. When he turned to look it was too late. Niveus dodged the series of attacks like he was trained to do. He could fight too, but he would need a weapon for that, but as of the moment he didn't have any and would have to make due without anything.
Luna heard something behind her and turned around. She saw one of the others dodging some guards. So, she pushes them back with a swipe of her hand, and holds them on the wall behind them.
Kai finished up his group of guards, leaving their unconscious or dead bodies laying on the ground. He wasn't sure if they were dead or not, and honestly? He didn't care. He turned back to the group, and sent a blanket of shadow washing over the guards they were fighting.
