“Okay,” Kaz said, giving Vaughn’s cheek a quick peck before turning to walk towards his room. Their room. The thought made something warm and happy curl in his chest, a soft smile playing across his lips
“Okay,” Kaz said, giving Vaughn’s cheek a quick peck before turning to walk towards his room. Their room. The thought made something warm and happy curl in his chest, a soft smile playing across his lips
Vaughn walked to the bedroom, heading over to the closet where he had hung up some of his clothes. He pulled his tshirt off before taking out a clean on and tugging that on.
Kaz followed after him, humming a tune absently as he began to rummage through his dresser. He pulled out a dark green band t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans, deciding that would be good enough for going to the store
Vaughn grabbed one of his white button ups, shrugging that on before grabbing a black suit jacket. He grabbed a pair of black slacks and belt, pulling his sweatpants down before stepping into the slacks.
"You know, you would probably be a little less recognizable in public if you wore stuff that was more casual. Not that looking like a hot tax account is a bad thing," Kaz said, a bit of teasing in his tone as he pulled on a pair of beat up red converse
"I don't have any other clothes that I could wear, though," Vaughn said, buckling the belt before looking down at himself with a frown. He left the jacket unbuttoned, which he thought looked fine. Should he not dress like he normally would?
"Maybe we could buy you some? We could go to the mall after the store or something," Kaz suggested with a shrug. He took a step forward, pressing a quick kiss to Vaughn's nose with a smile. "But don't worry if you don't want to. I personally love a man in a suit."
Vaughn gave a soft chuckle at that and shrugged. "I guess we could pick up a few things, if you think that it would make me fit in better," he said, hands stuffing into his pockets.
"I've got a few things in mind. I have a funny feeling you'd look hotter than hell in oversized hoodies," Kaz said, grinning before taking his hand. He reached for the motorcycle keys on his dresser, stuffing them in his pocket before beginning to walk towards the door
Vaughn followed after Kaz with a raised eyebrow. "Hoodies? I guess we can try that.." he said, trailing off towards the end of his sentence. "What are you, anyways, a fashion designer? I didn't think it mattered what I wore."
"Nope, not a fashion designer. Just was making a suggestion," Kaz said, shrugging as he felt anxiety creep up without warning. Did he accidentally offend Vaughn? He hoped not, he would probably die if he had accidentally done something like that
Vaughn smiled lightly and gave a hum in response, stepping forward so he could open the door for Kaz. Maybe it would be good to change things up a bit. He did need new things anyways.
Kaz began to walk towards the elevator, still gnawing on his lip anxiously. He mentally cursed himself while his mind snickered, Kaon laughing at him as he stepped into the elevator
Vaughn followed Kaz down the hall and into the elevator once the doors opened. He looked down at Kaz, a small frown forming on his lips now as eh reached over to hold the other's hand. "What's wrong?" he asked, feeling that something was off.
“Hm? Oh, just running through my budget mentally,” Kaz replied, giving Vaughn a reassuring smile even as his mind cackled. Lying to Vaughn again, hm? You better hope he doesn’t snap that nose of yours, it sneered
Vaughn looked at Kaz suspiciously for a moment before responding. "If you say so," he said, though he didn't quite believe him completely.
Kaz gave Vaughn’s hand a small squeeze, a small wave of relief washing over him when Vaughn didn’t press the issue. He knew he was probably just overreacting, anyways. The elevator slowed to a stop, and Kaz stepped out
Vaughn rubbed at the back of Kaz's hand with his thumb mindlessly, and he smiled down at him gently. He walked out of the elevator, looking over at Kaz now. "Do we need anything else before we go?" he asked.
"Nope," Kaz said before making his way towards the parking lot. He squinted at a figure next to his motorcycle, though a smile quickly crossed his face once he realized who it was. "Erik, hey!" he yelled, waving at the figure with his free hand
Vaughn's brow arched as he followed Kaz, eyes training on the figure. He supposed that he shouldn't feel so on edge, considering that Kaz seemed to know who the person was.
Kaz slowed to a stop in front of a short, black-haired woman. She was mean looking, with a near permanent scowl and a cigarette between her fingers. "Fixed your bike up, and you owe me four hundred this time," she said before holding a hand out. Kaz sighed, rolling his eyes before fishing a wad of cash out of his pocket and handing it to her. She cracked a smile, taking a moment to count the money before stashing it. "Have fun, loverboys," she said before walking towards a big black pickup across the lot
Vaughn hummed as he watched the woman walk away. "You know her?" he asked, simply out of curiosity. He always was curious as to where Kaz got all that cash from. Surly he didn't get paid that much.
"Yeah, she's my cousin's roommate. Works in a machine shop a couple blocks away. I usually go to her when the bike gets messed up, like it did after that accident the other day," Kaz responded. He reached for the helmets, passing one to Vaughn before tugging his own on
“Right, the accident,” Vaughn repeated, taking the helmet from Kaz. He hesitated, thinking about how they had previously crashed on the motorcycle. He wasn’t sure how much he wanted to get back onto one of those things when it was so easy to crash.
“But hey, that was one time. At it wasn’t my fault, so I hope whoever hit us is losing their mind trying to figure out how they hit a ghost,” Kaz chuckled as he got onto the bike
