"Possibly, but I'm fairly certain they'll be after me…." he said, fully aware of his spirit aura.
"Possibly, but I'm fairly certain they'll be after me…." he said, fully aware of his spirit aura.
"Ah…" Jaoel didn't dare ask. "I'll tag along," he decided on a whisper as they approached the dense forest.
Firiko kept going till they were a few feet in, he could feel the spirits around them. "Alright. I know you lot are out there and I know you know what I am. So get out here before I make you come out" he said firmly.
Little by little a thin green cloud detached from the mossy forest floor. It gradually rose to form a curvy young woman, who proceeded to circle Firiko.
"An aura?" she questioned in hissing, bitter voice.
Firiko faced her head on, summoning a silver flame in the palm of his left hand. "You know what I am." He said, his tone commanding. "Now, do you know what happened to the inhabitants of the lake?"
She let out a laugh like a wolf's bark. "You think you scare me?" she snipped, jerking her head towards the flame. She stepped right up to Firiko and plucked one of his feathers– it quickly disintegrated between her bony fingers.
Firiko growled, his wing flinching back, the flames instantly encircling her. "Answer the question." He growled, glaring at her, wings flared menacingly.
She evaporated and reappeared behind him. "You think you're stronger?" she spat vehemently. "You dare threaten me in my own territory?"
Firiko put up a shield, sidestepping to face her. "I've dealt with worse than you." He growled, his features stony and firm. "Now answer the question and I'll leave."
"How about no?" she chirped angrily, glaring at the intrudern
"How about yes, or I'll incinerate you"
She stopped walking. "You're feisty," she deadpanned. "Maybe I should spare you…" A burning cloud of green broke away from her airy figure and went towards Firiko, now half invisible.
Firiko shielded, a burst of flames taking him to the other side of the clearing in an instant.
The spirit whirled on him, what looked like a smile seeping onto her face. "You have tricks too, do you?" she whispered breathily, inching back towards the aura-man.
Firiko kept his face calm showing only a hint of annoyance. "This would be a lot easier if you simply told me what I need to know." he said calmly.
"Ease," she started, carving a line of bark out of a tree with a flick of her pinky, "is dull. We spirits enjoy a challenge. But then…" she taunted, "You'd know that.
Firiko sighed, "Figures…" he said, "So, what do you want?"
"I want a challenge," the spirit drawled. "Injure me and I will tell you what you need."
Firiko glared, "Seriously?" he said. Finally he rolled his eyes and drew his blade. The sword was shaped almost like captain hooks, but the curve was not so severe, and the tip unified, and the edge jagged. It was also made of a platinum colored metal, carved with runes.
i put up a picture if yiu wanna see
(Where is it?)
The spirit whistled in amusement. "Ah, a runed blade? Would you know how to use it, mortal?"
(You're really pretty!!!)
The spirit whistled in amusement. "Ah, a runed blade? Would you know how to use it, mortal?"
"Use it? I forged it" he said flatly. "And it's designed to fight off magical beings." he setteled into a fighting stance as if it was second nature.
