Jaoel shook his head, approaching one of the walls. "And you?"
He started tracing the shapes, attempting to decipher them.
Jaoel shook his head, approaching one of the walls. "And you?"
He started tracing the shapes, attempting to decipher them.
"I think I can read some of it, It's similar to the runes on my blade."
"Oh! Well, go ahead then." He stepped away from the wall, waving Firiko towards it.
Firiko nodded, leaning forward to study them.
Jaoel waited two seconds. Then, "Any luck?"
"A little… uhm… I think it's a warning of some kind."
"Against what, or who? Can you tell?"
"Working on it.."
Jaoel nodded and sat down on the ground, tracing lines in the gravel mud.
Firiko kept tracing the runes, doing his best to translate.
A couple minutes after their arrival, a low rumble thundered through the cave. Jaoel leaped to his feet, looking around. "I'd speed up if I were you," he suggested urgently to Firiko.
Firiko nodded, "The carvings are faded, so I can't figure out the translation.."
With a frustrated sigh, Jaoel iced the part of the wall that Firiko had been studying and then peeled the icy layer off: the carvings stood out. Tucking the sheet under his arm, Jaoel waved Firiko to him. "We have to go."
Firiko quickly looked over the runes, before paling. "We need to run, now.." he said worriedly, coming over to the other.
Jaoel nervously nodded in agreement and took off towards the opposite way they'd come, the darkness of the tunnel ahead engulfing him and the sheet of ice.
Firiko followed him quickly, wary of the other's ice abilities. "Heads up, make sure you keep your ice away from me…"he said softly.
Without turning around he asked, "Why is that?"
"Vulnerable to ice…. it's a complicated thing.."
