Cooper looked confused for a second, but then something in his eyes clicked. Is she mom's sister? No… there's no way… the human probably got her too…

"Cooper….?" This is my sisters kit…the one I thought died…The one who ran off…after I got shot…he's the one I would have given my life for… Jess looks down, then back at Cooper.

"Yeah?" He cocked his head to the side, responding to his name. Did Aaron tell her what my name is? I don't remember…

Gracie looked at Jess's face, Surprised? I'm not surprised.

"Y-your my sisters…kit…" She whispers, her voice cracking. "I'm y-your aunt…"

So she is mom's sister… "Aunt Jessy?"

She smiles,nodding at the name, hugging Cooper slightly. "My little kit…"

(No…? Jess is Cooper's aunt, and Aaron is Coopers adopted father)

Aaron watches the two's interaction, his eyes narrowing. Humans… loud gun shot. He turns swiftly, his back arching, hissing at incoming memories, flashes of past pain.

Gracie heard a gun shot, "THEIR BACK!" she yelled warning the others.

Cooper leaned on her shoulder. "What was mom like? Is she ever gonna meet up with me? She didn't follow… do you think she's lost somewhere in the woods like us?"

Cooper jumped up and ran in the opposite direction. No…. no, no, no… not again! He set off at a sprint, panicking.

Aaron growls, "All of you get to safety! NOW!" He yells, shifting human, drawing his fans.

Jess lets out a surprised gasp. "Your mother was nice, kind…and you look exactly like her…she always wanted to protect you…and her older sister…and…Cooper…your…mother…s-she died…protecting you…" A tear falls from her cheek, hitting Cooper's ear. She grabs Coopers arm, holding him backwards. "This way."

"I can help. I know how to fight." She said.

Aaron glances back at his kit, pulling a chain off his neck he places it in his kits hands. "Be careful. Stay with Jess." His voice cracks and he sets a light kiss to the top of Coopers head. In a whirl of silver and fur, he was running towards the gunshot.

"Run! No, no, no, no…" Cooper had no idea where he was going, he just couldn't be here. He pulled out of Jess's grasp and bolted.

Gracie ran toward the gun shot the first thing that happens was being shot near the heart. She shot at the man who shot her knocking him over being shot in the arm.

Aaron starts with close combat, hissing and screeching. He felt pain sing through his side, chest, and leg. Did that stop him? Nope. His kit was in danger and he wasn't going to lose his family. Not again. He slices the fan across the hunters arm, making the human shriek in pain.
