“Yup.” His voice monotoned, face nothing but unreadable boredom. He spun around then walked back into his room. Before he closed the door, he asked, “Is that all you need?” There was more emotion in this statement, like he actually cared to hear.
"Uh… y-yeah. I guess," Trinity stuttered shyly. Her wide eyes were downcast on the kittens in her arms.
A light laugh echoed in the back of his throat. He couldn’t help it, she looked too small and innocent with the two kittens cuddled up in her arms. Cocking a partial smile, he replied, “Alright then. See you later I guess.” He slowly closed the door.
She watched him close the door slowly. He'd been so aggressive with her and Caire in the kitchen. What happened? She looked down at Yawn and Lilac, who were wriggling anxiously in her arms. "Come on. Let's go downstairs." She set them down, but they immediately went to Asher's door again and started mewing. "No no no!" she cried worriedly, rushing over to the door and picking them up again.
Asher cracked the door open just enough so only one of his eyes were visible. He face palmed, seeing the cats back to mewing at his door. “Seriously, what did I do wrong?! Why the hell do kittens love me so much!??! I’m a demon!” He yelled in frustration, more or less mixed with a joking tone. He shook his head at the cats.
Trinity blushed. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she rambled, collecting the kittens quickly.
Asher stared deep into her eyes with his piercing glare. “Why are you sorry. Are you controlling the damn cats? If not you have no reason to be sorry, there’s absolutely nothing you could control in this situation.” It came out as a stern growl, as he tried to express his thoughts. He cringed a little from how mad it sounded, hoping she understood the “tough love” concept behind it.
//hi if this is continuing can I add/change my character?
((Yes, of course you can ^^))
Trinity flinched a little, but she managed to keep a hold on the kittens in her arms. "O-Okay," she replied softly. Her voice was airy and delicate.
Asher lowly sighed, wondering what possessed him to be this way. He tugged his beanie down further moving his hair so it covered one of his eyes. “Now the more you know. Don’t be a doormat for others,” his gaze turned to the floor. Part of him wanted to just slam the door and be done with this, but the other part of him, most Of him wanted to wait until she left of her own will. Why he felt like this, he had no idea. What made his feelings toward some dumb angel different than how he felt about others?. He shook his head slightly.
Trinity noticed the shake of his head. "Wh-What's wrong?" she stammered, worried about how he would take the question.
Asher caught her eyes again when she asked that question. “Oh, nothings wrong. I just, have a headache,” he easily lied through his teeth.
Trinity pressed her lips together tightly. "Angels know when people are lying," she said softly.
Pressing a hand to his forehead, Asher sighed then muttered, “Of course you can…” He gave an exaggerated eye roll, more than a little annoyed.
Trinity felt her cheeks heat up. "S-Sorry."
Leaning against the door, he turned his gaze to the wall. “Eh, don’t be. I’ve gotten used to all this stuff by now.”
Her eyes glowed completely golden for a second, then she looked at him with wide, innocent doe eyes. "You have pyromania?" she whispered. He'd never told them before. Just like she'd never told them about her biggest fear that she kept hidden beyond all other fears: pyrophobia.
Okay, this was a new thing. This hadn’t happened with the others before. He took a step back. “I- er- yes.. I do.. Ended up in a psych ward for it at one point..” He sounded ashamed, a feeling that didn’t happen to him often. He rubbed the back of his neck and kept glancing up at her, wondering how she knew that.
"Do you still?" she asked warily. Her pyrophobia had haunted her for ages…
“I mean, it’s gotten better over the years, you don’t see me running around lighting fire to everything, do you? It mostly just flares up when I’m angry I guess.. Probably me being a demon doesn’t help that urge.” Asher couldn’t quite meet her eyes. He was unsure why, but there was something about how she sounded when she asked that made him feel an almost guilty sensation.
((Low key have Light Em Up by Fall Out Boy stuck in my head now xD))
(Nice! :D)
"Oh. I'm sorry," she apologized again. Yawn and Lilac had leaped out of her arms again and meandered into the angels' room.
He watched the cats dissappear, before looking back at her and continuing the discussion. He raised his eyebrows before saying, “You apoligize a lot. You seem to have such a guilty conscience for a pure angel.” The last part was more or less just his thoughts accidentally being spoken aloud.
Trinity felt her face heat up rapidly. "If… if that's… I-" she cut herself off, not knowing what to say.
“Hm, now you’re the tongue tied one.” He smiled with satisfaction. His previously rigid stance changed back to his relaxed lean against the door frame.
