"Do you honestly think I care?" He half smirked, a dark laugh coming from him. "Heck, I'd be glad if those things happened to me." He pulled himself up so he was sitting on the counter, easilly able to look over the others.
"So you would like to die? Perhaps you should be taking a different kind of pill, then." Caire said coolly, turning her eyes back to her books.
"I think he does."
Trinity quickly lowered her gaze, afraid that Asher would say something to her. Or even come over to her. She pretended to read over Caire's shoulder.
(Caire is usually very quiet, but she can be pretty fiery sometimes lol. She'll roast you and burn you to a crisp.
Person: Kill urself
Caire: Honestly, if I wanted to kill myself I'd climb your ego and jump to your IQ)
((Honestly now I'm thinking of the song Teenagers by My Chemical Romance because it fits Asher so much lol. Ecspecially the line "because the drugs never work" fits the current topic lol. Yes…Im an emo xD))
He rolled his eyes. "Honestly, it might be nice. Ecspecially to get away from you all." There was a certain edge to his voice now, like he was trying to keep in his true emotions. He shook his head and readjusted his beanie, moving it back so his horns were visable.
(One time I complimented my friend in science by saying, “If I wanted to kill myself I’d jump from your IQ to your ego.” She glared at me a then realized what I said. ._.)
"Well, I'd say that we would miss you but it's generally seen as improper for angels to lie." Caire didn't even look up from her book, flipping a page casually.
Trinity tightened.
“That hurts, Asher.” Zeno sighed mockingly, taking a sniffle. Standing next to Caire basically half-asleep.
Asher growled. He slid off the counter and poured himself some of his coffee that was now finally done. He pushed past Caire to go back to his room, then noticed how Trinity had shyed away from him. "What's wrong with you," he barked, more than anything just trying to get a rise out of someone.
Caire almost fell to the ground considering she was so light. She watched Asher, folding her wings neatly on her back. "Stop trying to provoke people, Asher. We're all mature enough to know where to draw the line and we don't start arguments over nothing."
Trinity looked up into Asher's dark eyes. Her heart pounded in her chest. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out.
He snarked back at her, "Yeah, sure, right." He was more caught off gaurd by her response than anything. Ego and pride shattered, he flashed his fangs one last time before he stalked down the hallway and to his bedroom, slamming the door. "Share an apartment with some angels, it wont be that bad. Not as bad as abusive parents Asher! Ugh!" He groaned and flopped onto his bed.
Caire sighed, turning back to her book. "He really just needs people to stand up to him every once in a while so he knows he can't walk all over us. Although, I don't think he and I will really ever get on well, being an angel and a demon and whatnot."
After lying on his bed for a few minutes, Asher forced himself up. He got up and moved over to where his keyboard was stashed up against the corner of the wall. He sat down and played a few notes, before angrily bashing down on the keys. The sound was really loud. He froze, remembering how thin the walls were and the fact that the others had probably heard him. He had never told anyone he played piano, thinking it would get rid of his reputation. He quickly turned down the volume, took a breath, then started to play a song.
Yawn scratched on Asher's door, thinking that it was somehow Trinity.
Trinity heard a noise and whispered "Be right back" before anyone could notice. She went upstairs quickly and heard a piano.
“Demon and angels are different, get over it. This demon needs you guys to stop arguing in the morning so he can sleep.” Zeno grumbled, wrapping his blanket tighter around his shoulders, shuffling back to his room.
Caire had known that Asher played piano for a long time, but had never mentioned it to him. Her room was right next to his after all, and it would have been difficult not to notice. She was a decent person, and she didn't like to bring up subjects that inspired uncomfortable conversation. She had never seen the point in that.
Hearing the scratching at his door, Asher stopped playing and got up, ready to deal with Caire. As he opened the door and saw that it was just the kitten there, his tough guy charade fell apart. He got on his knees and gently picked up the kitten. "Hey there cutie," he whispered while petting it. He stood up,closed the door, and put Yawn on his lap while he continued to play the piano.
((Oof just pretend he didn't see Trinity when he walked out))
Trinity panicked. He took Yawn. Oh my gosh, what if he eats her?! Bravely, she approached the door and knocked softly there times.
(Yes.
Demons eat cats.)
(She's scared, okay!)
