"I'm Angelo. It's our pleasure to meet you, Isabella," He added, trying for a bright grin as he looked down towards the girl. She seemed a little withdrawn from everything around her, though it must have been from the experiences from the last night.
"I'm sorry, why are you two here?" Isabella asked Rosanna and Angelo.
"We'd like to talk to you," Angelo stated simply as he glanced over at Rosanna, hoping that she had prepared a few questions. After all, she had always been a bit more of a people person.
"Like what?" Isabella asked.
"Rosanna?" Angelo questioned as he glanced over at his sister, shooting her a look that said, help me here.
"We saw you being taken down into the tunnels last night. Can you tell us what happened down there?" Rosanna asked.
Isabella mumbled something that neither of them could hear.
(Yep, I'm finally back.)
"Isabella, what did you say?" Angelo asked gently as he looked down at the girl, a curious expression on his face. So far, she seemed a little withdrawn and distracted, but she might answer their questions.
"They had taken me to a room…. there was a green light and a chair with straps, as if for a surgeon. I woke up back in my bed, like it was just a dream. But it felt so real. And I remember one more thing." Isabella said.
Angelo nodded faintly as she spoke, her words matching the description that Rosanna had given him last night. "What's the one thing?" He asked, continuing to look down at Isabella as he waited for her answer a bit impatiently.
"I remember pain. Like my blood was on fire but my body was ice."
Angelo glanced over at Rosanna with a worried expression before he looked back towards Isabella, pausing to think of a question. "Did anything…bite you?" He asked, remembering the description his sister had mentioned, as if she saw someone bite the girl's neck.
"No, no biting." Isabella said, sweeping her hair back to reveal some very noticeable bite marks. Rosanna gasped.
Angelo looked at the bite marks, a faint frown tracing his lips as he furrowed his brow in concern. "Isabella. What's that on your neck?" He asked gently, careful not to startle her as he motioned towards the mark.
"What? I can't see my own neck, but as far as I know there isn't anything there."
"…there are some bite marks," Angelo answered quietly as he fumbled to open his bag, pulling out a small mirror that he occasionally used for signaling to Isabella. He placed it in Isabella's hands, motioning for her to hold it up to her neck.
Isabella took the mirror. When she saw the marks, she immediately fainted.
"Well, that was obviously a good idea. Horrifying the one person who could give us information." Rosanna grumbled.
"Come on. She had to see them herself," Angelo answered, shaking his head faintly as he looked down at Isabella. "Should I try and wake her up?"
"Allow me." Rosanna said, pulling back her sleeves and slapping Isabella in the face. The girl woke up, shouting "Ow!"
"Rosanna!" Angelo whispered hurriedly as she slapped the girl, shooting her a look, but also trying to stifle a laugh. He straightened his posture and fixed a faint smile on his face as he looked towards Isabella, thinking of a question. "Now that you've seen the marks…have you felt strange today?"
"What? No!" Isabella said.
Angelo nodded slowly, glancing over at Rosanna to see if she had anymore questions that they could possibly ask Isabella.
"Okay, listen. Do you remember anyone telling you anything?" she asked Isabella.
