Aiya woke up, confused. Where did the wendigo go? She found his scent and followed it to wherever this place was that he was at. What's he doing at this place?

“Curiosity,” she said, watching him carefully. Despite her own magic and his current lack of ability, he seemed dangerous and she figured it best to stay wary. “It’s not often I meet a magical… creature, in a coffee shop.”

Cyrus slowly woke up, groaning sharply as he did so. His body ached, and he felt tired. He lifted his head a little, his mind swimming. His vision swayed, making him dizzy. “What the hell?” He mumbled uneasily.

"Hello?" Aiya whispered, walking into the alley. "Wendigo guy? Are you in here?"

"Hello?" Aiya whispered, walking into the building. "Wendigo guy? Are you in here?"

(They're in an alleyway, not a building btw)

Cyrus slowly woke up, groaning sharply as he did so. His body ached, and he felt tired. He lifted his head a little, his mind swimming. His vision swayed, making him dizzy. “What the hell?” He mumbled uneasily.

Toad crouched down next to Cyrus, his creepy grin widening. "You know, the good thing about Luella is that he'll do whatever I ask. Even if it means kidnapping pretty little things like you."

Marinus remained silent for a bit. He could indeed pick up her magic ability, the scent once again giving everything away. The male, however, said not a word about it. It was only now and then he would instantly reveal someone of their true nature. It really depended on the person or creature before him.
He seemingly sighed, his gaze once again shifting towards her, "Hm, I see, so curiosity."
Marinus took a moment to reach back, releasing his cup. His hand moved, rubbing the back of his neck for several moments, then returned to its place on the table. A slight smile came to as she mentioned she didn't often come across magical creatures.
"Well, it has been some time since I've been awake. Went to take an hour nap in a trench at the bottom of the ocean. Hour turns into several thousand years or so later."

"Helloooo? I can hear you guys!" Aiya kept walking, her golden scales seeming to almost glow in the dim light.

“Sounds like me when I’m supposed to be doing paperwork,” she said, leaning back. Someone brought over her order and she thanks them, taking a sip of the coffee.

Toad's eyes widened for a second before his grin returned. He got up, dusting himself off and looking back at the alley. He spotted Aiya almost immediately. "A dragon?" He said, smirking. "We aren't I just lucky. You'll get a nice price as well." He muttered a stun spell, hitting her with precision.

Aiya froze and fell onto her side, unable to move. "Hey! Unhand me, you fiend!"

Toad dragged her back into the alley and dropped her body next to Cyrus's. "Did Luella bring you too? Or were you stupid enough to come on your own accord?" He asked, stroking her face creepily.

"I was looking for this guy, since your 'Luella' attacked him! Froze me too, might I add."

Marinus seemingly paused. The male seemingly tilted his head in an almost curious fashion as the woman spoke. 'Paperwork'? He only had a small idea of what it could possibly mean. Marinus never really did pay attention to such things. The most he knew was when countries were writing to either go to war, or peace contracts. But of course, that was back only who knew when.
His eyes shifted as another waiter appeared, carrying a cup which he set down before the woman. Marinus was suddenly addressed, asking if he would like another cup. Eh, why the hell not. It would only be his third, plus the liquid was a nice taste again. He watched as his cup was filled once again, and the waiter left Marinus with the stranger.
"Well, if I may ask madam, what line of work are you in?"
It was but a simple conversation starter, but one nonetheless. At least Marinus was trying to be sociable. Something he didn't often do.

"Hmm, well. I did pay him extra. Suppose this is why. They'll pay nicely for the two of you, you know." Toad said, muttering another stun spell, this time hitting Cyrus. "You're both beautiful specimens."

"Glad you think so, but I'd like to be beautiful elsewhere. You know, where I'm not forced to stay still."

Cyrus had snarled, going to reach out and rip into the mad leg with his claws when he felt the spell send what felt like a sharp, electric shock through his veins. He made a noise between a hiss and a screech, slumping back to the ground. Son of a bitch! Where the hell is Tony?!

“I run a small business,” she said, watching as his cup was filled again. “Magical items. Most people,pass them off as gags, but they’re pretty so I still make money.”

Toad turned his attention back to Cyrus. "You're a fighter, aren't you? I'm surprised Luella didn't have more trouble getting you."

((OOC: Well, not much with most of the others. Marinus is currently talking with Fangirl's charrie at the moment))

He nodded ever so slightly. Marinus allowed the information to sink into his mind. Well, it did make sense. A witch preferring to work alone was not at all uncommon. He paused to take a sip from his coffee before responding to her.
"Not too surprising most would think of hexes or charms to be silly nonsense."
His head returned to a more normal position, no longer tilted, "Though I'm sure the magical and mystical community finds your services handy. Not many would find such things, less you really want to find yourself in some…distasteful company."

“I wouldn’t know which of my customers are magical or mystical,” she said, shrugging. “Though I do have a few guesses.”

(I'm so lost…….. What did I miss)

(mmmm okay so Jamie was hired by this dude to hunt down Cyrus, and when he did he brought him to the dude, which we call Toad, and disappeared because Toad's really creepy and Jamie hates him. Aiya followed Jamie and ended up getting captured by Toad as well. Now Toad has Cyrus and Aiya and he's planning to sell them/let them be experimented on, idk. Jamie's just kinda gone at the moment)
