Lucas shook his head with a laugh, "well that you too. So! Feel like ordering a pizza, I promise its not thaat bad."
Lucas shook his head with a laugh, "well that you too. So! Feel like ordering a pizza, I promise its not thaat bad."
"Sure, why not?" Daisy chuckled with a shrug. "Just a small sausage pizza, please."
"Wonderful! Finally some business. I will return. Be careful of the others, they're all shady." Lucas winked and an angry "hey!" Came from the back before he slipped away to get her pizza.
Daisy laughed lightly and sat down at an empty seat. She took a sip of her coffee as she looked around the pizza place, taking in her surroundings.
A few moments latter Lucas returned and set her pizza down on the table in front of her. "On the house. Cuz what are they gonna do? fire me?" he laughed.
"Well, they could… I can pay for it, honestly," Daisy said, already reaching for her wallet.
"Well yeah, but whatever. I've been looking for a reason to quit. Plus, the others aren't snitches." Lucas shrugged.
"Are you sure this is okay? Because I don't want to get you in trouble," Daisy said, looking at him worriedly.
"Its fine, Daisy." Lucas smiled warmly. "Can't get in trouble if they don't catch me right?" His warm smile turned into a wide grin.
"I suppose…" Daisy trailed off, still looking a bit worried as she grabbed a piece of the pizza.
Lucas slid onto the chair across from her. "So, get any texts about the job yet?"
"No, not yet. I think she's going to email me tomorrow, though," Daisy said with a smile.
Lucas clapped his hands together, "perfect! So, why a coffee shop? Have a caffeine addiction?"
"Maybe?" Daisy chuckled. "But I worked at one in New York, and I loved it."
"New York is diffrent then here. Keep that in mind. Though I do believe people here are much nicer." Lucas laughed before making a small remark under his breath, "caffeine addict."
"Hey, I heard that!" Daisy laughed, playfully kicking him under the table.
"Abuse. This is abuse." Lucas laughed and pulled his legs up and away best he could.
"Pft, whatever," Daisy chuckled, shaking her head slowly.
"You know what? That fly over there is named after you. You wonderful pest you." Lucas continued to laugh.
"Hey!" Daisy laughed, crumpling up a napkin and tossing it at him.
Lucas wiggled his eye brows as he tossed the napkin back. "Fight me you fly."
"I'm a lady, and ladies don't fight," Daisy joked with a laugh.
"That is a lie. Not the lady part. But you do fight." Lucas grinned. "I've known you since forever."
"Shh… That's a secret," Daisy said with a hushed laugh.
"Oh gosh." Lucas shook his head with a chuckle. "I'm glad you moved back, or else my only friend would literally be Dan, and lets be honest. Dan isn't a good friend."
