(ok then.)
Cosmo watched as Lee closed the door behind him and he sighed one more time before going down the stairs and into the car. He felt bad for Lee and how he didn't have it easy but he remembered being in his place.
(Time skip to next day?)
(But what are you going to do?? We’re far from the nightclub, and feel free to fill yourself in)
(I guess my character could come near 10 p.m to check on Lee and then they go back to the club…..)
(I’ll just go since I think I should….)
Lee woke up, half smothered in puffy down blankets. Ah…. we never had blankets like these back at home…. As motivated as he was, he didn’t want to leave the bed— it was too long since he slept in a decent place. ….Cosmo did say he was coming back, right?
Cosmo took the backpack with basic stuff, some t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, socks, deodorant, and dental stuff out of the car. He went up to Lee's motel room and knocked thrice on his door, waiting for a response while lightly bouncing on his toes.
Lee shoved the covers aside, feeling too lazy to get out of bed. I want to stay in there forever. He threw his pants on and buttoned them up as he got to the door. He opened it up, unaware that it was Cosmo. “Y— You’re back!” He grinned awkwardly. I should’ve took the time to put my shirt on, too….
Cosmo briefly glanced down to Lee's chest, blushing furiously before looking back up. "U-uh, yea I- I just- ca-came to give you this stuff." He said, quickly sticking the bag in Lee's face, he already embarrassed himself and he just made it worse.
He opened it up. “What’s all in here anyway…?” He shuffled a little bit through all the clean clothes and other hygeinic things, and was about to say thank you when he noticed Cosmo was looking a bit unusual. “Are you… alright?” Even he felt an inevitable heat rise up his gut.
"Y-yea, j-just you know, it's really hot out here." The second he said that, he regretted it. It's literally the middle of Autumn and nowhere near hot. He mentally slapped himself and blushed again, clearing his throat. "Y-yep, I'm f-fine…" He repeated off as his eyes trailed back down to Lee's chest before rising back up and meeting his eyes. He looked like a kid that got caught stealing a cookie and he cleared his throat once more. "Sorry,"
“Nah, you’re fine….” He wasn’t sure what to do— he knew shutting the door would be rude, but to invite him inside would be awkward. “You can come inside if you want, or… I guess be on your way if this is all you came here to do.” It’s his choice….
Cosmo thought for a second of what he wanted to do but came to a conclusion quickly. He nodded and answered. "Yea, I'd like that." He said softly moving forward slightly.
Lee allowed Cosmo inside, shutting the door behind him. “You know how long it’s been since I slept somewhere like this?” He set the bag on the bed, pulling out clothes one by one. They seemed like the kind one would wear around the house all day.
When Lee closed the door, Cosmo backed up a bit and leaned on the door. "I'm glad I could help." He told him, looking around to see how much the place changed since he left. He used to live in the exact same room when he wasn't in a good place a couple of months ago.
“I appreciate it…” He managed to empty the bag of its clothes and set it by the bathroom door. He grabbed a tee that looked relatively appealing to him and slipped it on, tugging the hem down. “Do you know if there’s a laundromat somewhere nearby, or if there’s a place here to wash my own clothes??” Lee picked up his black shirt by the collar and set it on a chair. I seem to be feeling a bit better about things since Cosmo got my ass back on track….
"Yea, there's one down the road near those supermarkets and small stores." He smiled slightly, feeling proud that he got someone out and off of the streets for a least one night. "I was thinking about going back to the club later tonight, maybe you want to come with me?"
“Well, sure,” Lee snatched a pair of sweatpants from the bed and headed into the bathroom, closing the door. He took off his old pants and slipped the new ones on. T…. How can clothes be this comfy?? He got back out, tossing his own pair aside. “I think I might need to wash my clothes, but… don’t you need change for that?”
"I think it's like a couple of quarters, not much." He answered, getting off of the door and looking through the window.
(my mind is blank and i cant write more than that.)
(Brooooo it’s fine I feel like writing that much all the time)
Lee dug into his pants and took out the very little money he still had. Oh… I had less than I thought… “Sorry to be a bit pushy…. but…. can I borrow a few quarters? I have some, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be enough….” This is so awkward… I feel like I should know how much a trip to the laundromat costs….
"Yea of course." He said taking out his wallet and scanning through his coins. "I have bills so maybe you need to put it in the quarter machine, they'll give change." He told him, handing three dollars, enough for washing and drying.
