Hmmm..could I be the Merman? :0
Yeah sure. Templates, or just jump in? And would you prefer fantasy or modern?
Hm….can we do templates? Just so we can get a general idea of each other's characters…maybe we could do modern?

( Cuute :D Do you wanna start? )
(thanks! Aegir is adorable too. Sure! I was thinking it could start like…in a storm, and Luke's boat wrecks and Aegir can help him or something? Whatcha think?)
(alrighty!)
Luke yelped as lightning flashed across the sky, the rain coming down in sheets. He hurriedly turned the boat back for shore, listening as the engine sputtered and coughed, water sloshing over the sides. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck I'm not going to make it back to shore. He thought. The rain had already soaked through his clothes, his hair plastered to his head and the cold already setting in.
Aegir watched as the fish swam about panicking as they searched for shelter. However, he swam closer to the surface, allowing himself to be pushed around by the waves. He frowned, the moon was nowhere to be seen. Lightning flashed and thunder boomed as he looked around confused. What is that sound in the distance?
The engines coughed again as water flooded the chambers, and there were a heart-stopping few moments where Luke wasn't sure they would start again. Then, with a rusty sputter, the engines coughed to life again, chugging and struggling. He cursed. There was nothing he could do to help the engines except hope to god that he reached shore before the boat failed. He was a good swimmer, but even he couldn't swim through a storm like this. Water splashed over the side, and he coughed, spitting out some that had gotten in his mouth.
Following the strange sound he pushed through the water his eyes trailing up towards the cloudy sky every so often. He paused, eyes widening when he spotted the cause of the confusing noise. A boat was struggling to cross the water. The black haired merman dived back into the water, his silver tail slapping the surface as he followed behind the boat.
Luke cursed loudly as the engine sputtered out again, this time for good. "Fucker!" He cursed, kicking the bottom of the boat angrily. The boat had no sails, and the oars would be useless in this weather. He was dead in the water.
When the boat stopped Aegir copied, jumping a bit when he heard a voice coming from the top. Who did that voice belong to? He circled the boat trying to get a glimpse of the voices' owner.
Luke walked to the edge, shifting with the boat. He could barely see land, and the boat was drifting, waves pummeling it. His hair stuck to his forehead from the rain, and his clothes clung to his body, soaking wet.
The merman swore his heart skipped a beat when he laid his dark eyes upon the human. Aegir swam a little closer, reaching a hand out in front of him as he swam to the other side. Reaching the surface he rested his arms on the other side of the boat, watching the man from behind, being extra careful he wasn't spotted.
Luke let out a breath, sinking down to lean against the railing. "I'm alone. No propulsion. Storm. Too far from shore to swim." He shook his head, letting out a hard, cracked laugh. "I'm going to die." He said, looking up at the sky, at the rain pouring down upon his face. "I'm going to die today."
Aegir eyebrows furrowed as he looked on with concern. He wasn't sure how to help this man at all. He felt helpless and was sure the stranger felt the same. He sunk back down underwater and circled once again, his hand tangled in his hair as he attempted to think of a plan to help this human.
Luke let out a choked laugh that was almost more of a sob. His phone was already ruined, he knew that, so he couldn't even contact anyone and tell them. "God, I hate this." he muttered. Water splashed over the sides of the boat as the boat began to dip lower and lower in the mounting storm. He knew he only had maybe half an hour before the boat sank and he was left to drown.
