Moxiey sighed and surveyed the beach in front of her. Not a human in sight all day. She was getting ready to call it quits from her perch on a big rock.

Elijah always loved going to the beach, it was a good place to get work done. Peaceful and quiet, perfect for focus. He was knee down the street nearing the beach with a clipboard of sorts and a pencil.

Moxiey sighed. Bored out of her mind, she began to sing.

He walked along the beach In search for somewhere to sit, his bare feet digging into the warm sand until he walked close enough that the water washed every bit of it away.

"Loving you can get so lonely… Hard to get is just my type… If you want me come and show me… When you're in my heart, I'm out my mind," she sang perfectly.

The hum of her song filled his ears, softly st first but when he noticed it seemed to grow. He looked up in confusion. Whos there? “Probably no one,” he said to himself as he sat in the sand.

She switched songs effortlessly, not noticing the human. "For beyond all reason in your mind, there's a world mysterious and there for you to find… All these questions that we always had, all we are is curious, there's nothing wrong with that…"

“That’s very Disney of you,” he said to no one but just noticing the music. He began working assuming he was imagining he far off music as alluring as it was.

"So go round every corner… search every part of the sky… Cause a life that's full of wonder… Is a wonderful life," she continued.

“Who are you?” He said finally.

Moxiey jumped. She looked around wildly, her eyes set long on the human speaking to her. Speaking to her. She ducked back down behind her rock.

“Hey wait!” He pushed himself up to his feet and walked toward the rock curiously. “Who are you?” He asked again.

Moxiey stayed hidden. Move! she told her fins. Leave! She didn't move. She stayed frozen.

He climbed up on the rock and tried to peak behind it but suddenly his foot slipped, his body went with him into the water. Only to hit his head on the rock on the way in causing blood to disperse into the water from his forehead.

Moxiey heard a huge splash and her curiosity got the better of her. She peeked around and saw him in the water, a gash on his forehead. She cupped a hand to her mouth to choke back her scream. Help him! something in her screamed. She quickly swam around and carried him back to the shore where his things were. She laid him gently it on the sand and looked at his cut. "Please wake up," she whispered. "Please wake up."
