Naturally, she shied away from his touch. It would take her sometime to get used to touching people again, it seemed. "Dad made it. It's supposed to help–" she gestured to her body. "Me." She finished lamely, looking up at him and taking a step closer.
Thomas' eyes widened. He tentatively reached out, then brushed her cheek with his hand. Her skin was so soft. Slowly, a smile crept onto Thomas' face and he brought his other hand up to cup her cheeks, slowly leaning closer until their lips touched.
Morgan smiled against his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him closer. His entire body was so warm as she leaned into it fully. Her skin tingled, her back burning, as her power began to replicate his, but the stone chilled absorbing it right back. She could cry, she was so damn happy.
Thomas wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. He tipped his head to the side, his whole body tingling from head to toe
Morgan pulled back for just a moment. "So…you like me huh?" She joked, flashing her teeth in a wild Stark smile.
Thomas laughed, "Well, I would've thought that was obvious, but if you need a direct answer, then-" he pecked her on the lips, "Yes, I like you. A lot" he smiled
She marveled at the touch. Raising an uncovered hand, she touched his face gently, tracing the lines of his features. Her eyes wide with wonder. "I like you too…a lot." She whispered.
Thomas smiled, gently covering her hands with his and gently kissing each of them once, "Your dad… hes okay with this?"
Morgan stared at him for a moment before bursting into a lovely peal of laughter. "He said you were a good man, but I ran from the lab as soon as he gave me the necklace. So I don't…know?" She glanced over her shoulder towards the door she burst through almost expecting Tony to appear in it red faced and half way through his angry monologue about why Morgan shouldn't date Thomas.
Tony was in his lab, totally not watching through cameras.
Thomas laughed, "That desperate, huh?" He teased her, then stopped, "Wait Tony said that?" He said, truly surprised
Kydah walked into Tony's lab, looking at Tony with an amused expression. "What are you doing? Spying on your daughter and her boyfriend?"
Tony jumped, "What, no. I don't know what youre-" he paused after closing the cameras, "Wait her boyfriend? They're officially dating? I didn't get thar" he stood "Where'd you hear that?" His eyes were filled with confusion and worry, his hand running through his hair
"I mean… They did just kiss and proclaim their undying love." Kydah said with an arched eyebrow, a smile on her face as she tried to not burst out in a fit of laughter.
"Right, yeah…" Tony bit his lip, silent for a moment before turning back to Kydah, "Do you think he's right? I mean I told her I approved, kinda, cuz she obviously liked him so much but I don't really knownowImnervousandIdontwanthertogethurtbutifIbringitupshelljustgetmadbutImworriedthiswillbeherfirstrealrelationshipsinceshecanacruallytouchhimandcontrolherpowersandallthatandIdontwanthertogethurtbutifhehurtsherIsweartothegodsIllriphimlimbfromlimbandfeedhimtoThanos" he stopped, out of breath, then opened his mouth to continue, all sorts of scenarios running through his mind
"Okay, I'm going to stop you there. If he hurts her, I kill him." She says, holding out a hand to stop him from talking more.
Tony took a deep breath, "Sorry…" he said quietly, sitting down, "It's just… strange" he admitted, "But Thomas is good" he said, mostly to reassure himself, "He'll take care of her"
Thomas laughed, "That desperate, huh?" He teased her, then stopped, "Wait Tony said that?" He said, truly surprised
Morgan grinned up at him. "Well you are." She paused her expression going a bit more serious. "I'm sorry it took me so long to notice… to do something about it."
Thomas moved a hand up to caress her cheek, "It's alright" he whispered, "It took my thick skull this long as well" he smiled and kissed her forehead gently
She leaned further into him, enjoying the warmth, laughing softly. She was curious to see what he thought his own parental figures would think of them, but she was too shy to ask. Instead she said, "This will complicate missions."
Thomas raised an eyebrow, "How so?" He asked, "We always work pretty well together" he smiled, happier than he'd been in awhile. He imagined what his family would say…
Natasha: raises eyebrow of all people, a Stark? Lord, now I have to deal with Tony more.
Clint: grins he'll yeah, Tom. You go boy! High five!
Myra: yes! Finally! Ive been shipping you two since, like, forever! Ha! Bucky owes me 20 bucks!
Owen grabbed his coat and left his room walked down the street to the hospital that was nearby. He walked in and looked around, suddenly he felt someone hug him from behind.
"All of us thought you were dead. You haven't been here for a few weeks and well he hoped that was a good thing. But with your father. It couldn mean you were dead. And we called the police. All of the nurses were worried. And well the police told us there was nobody there and blood war all over the floor. We were really scared for you." The nurse who was hugging him talked fast and started to cry. Owen just smiled then hugged her back.
"Are you alright. Is everything fine."
He nodded as an answer then she took him and guided him to the other nurses where they expressed their concerns then after an hour or so let him leave. He walked quietly back to the tower then up to his room and shut the door. He started drawing. He already had so many. Some that were blood or a knife. Others of a broken mirror or of scenes he remembered vividly. Right now he drew an alley at night, there was rain and blood being washed away by the blood. The whole picture was in black and white like his other ones. He never used color for his drawings.
"Well," Morgan began seriously. Her work with the Avengers was one thing that she would never let get interrupted. "I can't really be taking down a homicidal robot when I'm worried about what may be happening to you…" She let it trail off, looking away from him. Would he understand what she meant?
Thomas frowned, "I understand" he murmured, stroking her jaw gently with his thumb, "I guess we'll have to tell your father not to put us on the same missions?" The boy suggested
"As much as I hate that too…" Morgan trailed off, her full lips turning down into a frown. "This may be more difficult than we thought." She said softly.
