Lysander finally noticed the other male and almost pushed him away when he saw what he was doing. But seeing the black veins disappear, he held still figuring that since Betty was still fairly new to being a vampire; she didn't know the significance of the action… maybe.

Betty pushed his wrist away and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.

”For not being able to save you. For not protecting you.” he wept.

"It's not your fault I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you" she said.

”I almost lost you again.” he said softly. ”Please. Don't do that to me again. Let me protect you for once.” he begged.

He gave a watery chuckle. ”You’re so stubborn.” he smiled weakly and kissed her forehead.

He smiled and held her closely before turning to the blond stranger. ”Thank you for saving her.”

”How did you know Betty?” Henry asked raising a brow slightly.

" i was Betty's first love" he said
