Lysander nodded a little. “Yeah. And almost everyone brought us something. Mostly foods so we don't have to cook much and a few things for the kids too.” he told her, opening her door.

She smiled "are you sure you can pick me up again " she said

He smiled at her. “It’s only for a few seconds, darling. Besides, I know better than to use my legs to lift anything.” he chuckled.

Lysander carefully scooped Betty out of the car and spun her around once before setting her down in her chair.

She giggled softly

Lysander smiled and kissed her cheek. “I love your laugh. Have I told that recently?”

"Not in a few months" she said

“I’ll have to fix that.” he smiled lovingly, kissing her cheek again.

She smiled softly

He smiled back before going to get the kids out of their car seats, though Laura-Beth insisted that she try on her own.

Betty tried to wheel herself to the house

“Don’t strain yourself, mon amour.” Lysander called as he managed to get Laura-Beth out of her seat and started working on the twins.

She only got about ten feet before stopping for breath

Lysander had changed his mind and got Cole out of the car first then carefully handed the little boy to Laura-Beth, making sure she was holding him right. He looked up and made Laura-Beth sit down at the car before quickly heading over to his wife. “Are you alright?”

"This is pathetic " she said

“No. No, it's not.” he assured her. “Remember when I first hurt my leg? It took me a while before I was able to stand up again. But you were there for me the whole time… So I'll be there for you.” he promised.

she looked at him smiling softly

He smiled sweetly back and lightly kissed her forehead. “Do you think you can hold the twins and I’ll carry Cole and push you in the house?” he offered.

She nodded

“Alright. I'll be right back then.” he smiled and kissed her cheek again before hurrying to the car.

She smiled softly closing her eyes once more waiting on him

Lysander carefully unbuckled the twins from their car seats and carried them over to Betty.

She heard him walking and opened her eyes and her arms for the twins

He smiled and gently handed the twins over.

Victoria giggled happily at her while Adrian started making a soft noise as she held them.
