Cole yawned and made a tired sound as he rubbed his eyes.

She took his to a room with almost nothing so his breathing wouldn't be messed up

It's a good thing that Cole was already mostly asleep when he was taken into that room. Despite being so young, he didn't like being alone.

She kissed his forehead after covering him up

Cole gave a sleepy little whine and snuggled into his blankets.

She smiled and left the room

Lysander had picked up his book again and was waiting for Betty to return.

Betty plopped down on the bed

Lysander smiled a little as he felt the bed move. ”I wish I could have helped you with the kids.” he told her softly.

" i know " she said

He sighed softly and laid down. ”As soon as I can get up and stand on my own for a couple minutes, I’m asking Henry to turn me.” he whispered.

She shook her head

He raised a brow at the action. ”What’s that supposed to mean?” he asked gently.

" i don't want you to " she said

”You… don't… Why not?” he asked, a little confused.

" what are you going to do when i die" she said

His eyes widened at that question. ”Betty, hybrid or not, you’re still a vampire. You're not going to die anytime soon.” he told her. ”Besides when I turn, I'll be able to protect you.”

" thats what im afraid of" she said turning away from him

”I don't understand.” he said softly, sitting up a little and looking at her.

" if your a vampire are you going to be able to continue for an eternity if something happens to me and what if hou get in a fightand hurt me?"

“Betty, nothing is going to happen to you.” Lysander promised, gently placing a hand on her arm. ”I would never harm you in a fight… I would never even get in to a fight against you.” he said. ”Why are you so worried about this all of a sudden?”

" forget it" she mumbled closing her eyes

”No, Angel, please. What's wrong? Did you see something?” he asked, starting to worry.

Sh3 ignored him shuffling farther away

”Don’t shut me out, my love.” he begged softly. ”Do you still think I'll be happier as a human than spending eternity with you?”
