”No. You did nothing wrong.” he shook his head. ”She started the fight all because she was jealous of what we have. I never thought of her as more than a friend and now I will never think of her as even that because of her actions. If anyone is to blame, it's her. Not you.”

She nodded but still didn't believe him

He smiled softly at her and hugged her close.

" i need to shower" she said

He chuckled a little but nodded as he slowly let her go, giving her one more kiss on her forehead. “I’ll make some coffee.” he offered.

" i don't think you should move and are you putting on that cream Tyler told you to put on your shoulders back chest and stomach?"

He sighed a little. ”I am. Daily.” he nodded. ”But I need to stretch my leg a little or this limp is going to take longer to go away. I’ll use my crutch.”

" I'll be gone soon be quiet Evans asleep " she

”Ok. I’ll meet you in the kitchen.” he smiled a little, grabbing a loose comfy t-shirt and carefully heading towards the door.

She nodded heading for the shower

As silently as he could, Lysander quickly checked on the children before heading to the stairs. Admittedly, he knew that they would pose a bit of a challenge but he was determined not to be held back by his injuries any more.

There was a loud thump from upstairs

Lysander was probably about halfway down the stairs when the sound reached him. He quickly turned around and raced back as fast as he could.

Betty had fallen her shirt rising showing the black bruises on her stomach and top of her legs

Once he finally reached the bedroom, he looked around for a minute before heading to the adjoining bathroom. ”Betty? Are you alright? What happened?”

" i fell" she said looking up at him

He walked over and sat down beside her. ”Is that were the bruises came from?” he asked, worried.

She shook her head

”What happened, angel? Do you need your medicine?” he asked, trying to keep his heart from racing in worry.

Kameron got me pretty good" she said

”Kameron? When did she do this?” he wondered in confusion. The fight had been… weeks? Maybe a month ago… If not longer, considering how slowly he had to heal.

" Lysander she was here " she said

He heart stopped in fear at his wife's words. ”How… When? I haven't left your side since the fight and Evan and Henry have been here too. I’m not that heavy of a sleeper.” he shook his head, eyes wide and a little panicky. How could this have happened?
