She nodded resting her head on his chest

”Thanks, Evan.” Lysander sighed softly, a little nervous about what was going to happen. ”Hey, while you're up here… Can you look this over?” he asked as he lightly tapped the paper in front of him.

Evan nodded and started to make his way over to the bed. ”What is it?”

" okay not like I was using you for a towel and comfort" she said leaving the room and going downstairs

Lysander facepalmed himself. ”Betty, I’m sorry. I didn't mean he had to right now.” he called after her, trying to sit up a little more… thought he nearly strained his shoulder in the process.

Evan was frozen in place. ”I didn't even realize she was crying.” he whispered, a little shocked.

Henry had finally found the rags and was just heading upstairs when he saw her. ”Hey… What’s wrong?” he asked gently.

She shook her head hit tears rolling down her cheeks as she let out a sob that echoed throughout the house

Henry quickly put down everything he was carrying on the nearest table and wrapped his arms around her. ”What happened?” he asked softly.

Lysander and Evan flinched at the cry, knowing it was their fault, and Evan slowly headed after her.

Betty wrapped her arms under him gripping into his shoulders

Henry held her close and let her cry against him.

Her shoulders heaved and she closed her eyes

Henry wasn't as good at comforting others as Lysander was but he continued to hold her. ”It’s alright, Betty. It’ll be alright.” he whispered.

Evan stood at the top of the stairs watching the two siblings, unsure how to approach.

She stopped crying as she pulled away

Henry looked at her and gave her a soft smile. ”Feel any better?” he asked gently.

She nodded

”Good.” Henry smiled kindly. ”Do you want to talk about it?” he ventured to ask.

She shook her head

”Ok. No pressure.” Henry assured her. ”Umm… Can I guess if it has something to do with Ly and what we're going to try?” he couldn't help but ask. He knew he was certainly nervous about it.

She looked up at him " do you have the things" she asked

From her response, he could tell he wasn't going to get a straight answer on the topic so he nodded. ”Yeah, right here.” he said as he picked up the equipment. ”Sorry it took me a little longer to get the bags. The hospital bumped up security more than usual today.” he explained.

" I have to be alone when I do this with him" she said

Henry bit his lip slightly at that. ”Are you sure? I can help. I did go to medical school a couple of times.” he offered.

" I have to do this alone' she said

”Alright.” Henry sighed. ”Well, can I at least sit outside the door?”

She shook head

Henry sighed again and gave a reluctant nod. ”Ok.” he relented. ”Then… best of luck.” he said sincerely.

She said taking the things and going upstairs
