He nodded and slowly sat up. ”Do you want to check on them? Or would you like me to?” he asked.
He nodded and slowly sat up. ”Do you want to check on them? Or would you like me to?” he asked.
"I'll go" she said getting up
”Ok.” he smiled, kissing her once more. ”I’ll start some coffee.”
She smiled and walked down the hall to see which kids were up
Adrian was the first one awake, babbling happily at his toy.
She smiled at him from above his crib
Adrian smiled back up at her, giggling and kicking a little.
She picked him up the stuffed animal falling from his hands as she did
Adrian reached towards her, grabbing any part of her face his arms could reach.
She smiled holding him in her arms cradling his head
He smiled, grabbing her fingers and sticking them in his mouth.
Victoria was waking up and looked over at her mother.
"ew Adrian that's gross " she said playfully removing her fingers from.his mouth
Adrian laughed as if he could tell his mother's mood.
"but seriously that's gross" she said
”Mama?” Laura-Beth murmured as she woke up, rubbing at her eyes.
"Hi sweetie good morning" she whispered
”Morning.” Laura-Beth yawned.
"how'd you sleep?"
”Had a dream.” she said, holding her bat toy close.
"what kind?"
”Grandpa was there.” Laura-Beth told her. ”He said he couldn't take me flying anymore.”
She looked at her "tell me what exactly your dream was" she said
Laura-Beth did her best to explain but somethings were bound to get lost in translation since she was so young.
In her dream; her Grandpa Charles often took her flying, holding her safely in his arms as they looked down at the world. She saw him sitting in a rocking chair near a window and when she ran over to him, he smiled and picked her up, holding her in his lap. ”I’m sorry, darling. I can't fly with you anymore.” he told her just before she woke up.
"Honey why don't you go downstairs with daddy" she said
”Ok, mama.” she nodded, sliding off her bed and walking towards the door, still sleepy.
