He sighed and held her close. ”I’m so sorry.” he said kissing her forehead. ”I have to stop him.”

"He comes in while your sleeping" she said

”Then I won't sleep much. I’ll lay with you while you sleep but I’ll stay awake.” he promised. ”I can survive on only a few hours of sleep. And I can get it when Henry and Tyler, or when Charles visit.”

She shook her head " Go to sleep Lysander I'll be alright he's older much stronger than you can overpower you if he wants me he'll take me" she said

He shook his head. ”It’s not his age. Evan is only three years older than me… Henry is fifty years older and I can take him in a fight. Can and have, actually.” he couldn't help but give a faint smile at that, not mentioning that Evan was a challenge because he was the King and much more powerful than even Charles.

”Yes. You are.” he whispered, smiling broadly at her as he gently cupped the back of her head to pull her down for a kiss.

He smiled back as he continued to kiss her.
