”Trust me, ma belle, you are not hideous.” he told her. ”Call me biased if you want but you are gorgeous.”

"This " she flashed her yellow eyes "isn't gorgeous"

”Yes. They are.” he said gently, cupping the side of her face as he looked directly in her eyes.

She sighed "How?"

”How are they not? Your eyes, no matter what color, are breathtaking. If it would make you feel better I can show off my fangs in public more often.” he offered.

"yeah so you can be staked no thanks" she said

”Fair point.” he admitted, biting his lip slightly. ”Hmm… Ok. Tell me; what do you think of these?” he asked as his eyes flashed a warm red.

Her own eyes flashed red " I have them too"

He smiled at her, keeping his eyes red. ”I meant if you liked them… on me. Yours are still beautiful.”

"I would prefer your eyes stay green because the truth is I'm scared of you im scared of vampires I honestly believe your going to lose it and hurt me" she said

He looked at her, both shocked and a little hurt as his eyes went back to green. ”Darling… I… I would never harm you.” he stammered. ”I understand being nervous around other vampires… but I thought you…”

She sighed with a small smile

”Is it just when my eyes are red that make you feel that way?” he asked, staring at the ceiling.

She shook her head "No"

”Are you scared of me right now?” he asked, a little nervous about her answer.

She shook her head

He let out a breath of relief and relaxed. ”Thank goodness.” he murmured softly.

She sighed

”Sorry if that seemed a little… dramatic.” he smiled awkwardly. ”I… I just don't like the idea that… I don't want to scare you.”
