He nodded, closing his eyes and just listening to her steady heartbeat. ”Henry only made you see me as if I were dead? He didn't make the illusion do anything to you?” he asked gently.

She nodded, "it was so real".

He nodded. ”I know it can seem to be. But it wasn't. I'm still here.” he comforted. ”Vampires rarely use that ability with good intentions.”

"She barried her head in his neck with a sigh.

He didn’t say anything more, just held her close and started stroking her hair.

She sighed, "I feel safe Even if I'm In the arms of A vampire That's when I feel the safest" she said.

Lysander gave a small chuckle though he was very happy to hear her say that. ”You are a very unique woman.” he admired.

"Perks Of being an oracle" she said.

”That's not entirely what I meant.” he smiled pulling back enough so he could look at her eyes and gently cupped the back of her head. ”I meant that it's amazing how much you trust me and that you're not afraid of me. Anyone else wouldn't even let me touch them if they were in an arranged marriage with me.”

"I'm Not anyone else" she said "I'm Betty Strange"

Lysander smiled at her. ”And I love everything about you.” he kissed her forehead.

Betty smiled slightly " Thanks".

”I really mean it, Betty.” He promised sincerely. ”You make me feel happier than I have been in a very long time.”

Betty leaned in and kissed him gently.

Lysander smiled as he returned the kiss, letting himself think of nothing else but how wonderful this moment was.

her finger tips brushed up against his cheek.

He sighed happily at the soft touch, pulling her closer.

she smiled into the kiss putting a hand on the side of his neck.

He gently deepened the kiss, running his thumb against her jaw.

She gently ran her hand up and down his muscled arm as they kissed.

Lysander pulled back just a bit to let her catch her breath… though he was surprisingly ”breathing” a little heavier than normal as well.

She looked into his eyes with a small smie

He met her gaze with a smile of his own and cupped her cheek.

"I love you" she whispered
