”Why would you want that? Unless it's an Alpha thing?” Henry inquired cautiously.

Henry fell silent at that, remembering what her family put her through. He sighed softly and shook his head.

"I finally find something but I fit in with that I belong don't feel like an outcast anymore" she said

“You were never an outcast or a loser to us, Bets.” Henry reminded her softly. ”Ly loves you more than anything I've seen and I know I'm not the greatest guy but you're still part of my family.”

Lysander watched in slight worry, tempted to manipulate the flame so it wouldn't hurt her… but he didn't want to interfere with Betty's moment. This had to be part of the ceremony. They wouldn't want the future Alpha or the competitors injured before the actual… event.

Lysander watched, interested in what would happen next though he was still a little worried for Betty.

"That was impressive." Henry said in a soft whisper, unable to keep his opinions to himself but not really wanting to interrupt.

A young man walked out" hello everyone my name is Xander and I would like to show you something" he said and held his hand out to the fire and it showed a blond almost white haired girl howling like a werewolf and it looks like Elizabeth strange

Lysander looked at the image before turning to his wife with a proud smile.

Henry was also smiling at the firey picture but he had a brow raised, curious as to what it meant.

The fire soon went out and they were completely covered in dark until all the wolves started howling including bedding

Lysander held back a chuckle at the display. He didn't want to cause any trouble but seeing Betty howl was actually quite adorable in a way. He cast a glance at Henry and Tyler, wondering if that meant that Betty was the next Alpha.

Henry gave a small shrug.

"you know long ago this rival betweenwerewolves and vampires it was bad it was an extremely bad it brought death to everyone elders small Cubs but now very good friends with vampires and one of us here has married a vampire" Xander said

Lysander looked at Xander calmly as he was called out. He may have hated what he was a long time ago but now… It was just part of who he was and he wasn't ashamed of it.

Henry bit his tongue, wanting to point out that there had been some wolves who caused the deaths of quite a few vampires as well though he made himself appear unbothered. He knew that he and Lysander were outnumbered if they tried anything. Besides he didn't really want to fight right now. This was Betty's night.

"if I'm not mistaken Xander several vampires were killed two I know things were different back then but you can't just call vampires out on these things werewolves have parts to we killed them and they killed us we caused the entire battle" she said

" That is correct Miss strange" Xander said with a smile

"Castevau" Betty corrected him

Henry looked at Betty in mild surprise that she had spoken up on their behalf like that but gave a small soft smile at her for her actions.

Lysander just smiled kindly at his wife's bravery. He was so proud of her and was sure both her mother and Charles would be as well. Though, if it were possible, he was sure he would have a faint blush as she reminded everyone of her married name.

Xander nodded and all the wolves howl again when Betty Howled she looked up at the moon or the night sky and she slightly curved her hands up

Henry was a little confused by what they were all howling about this time but didn't react beyond raising a brow slightly at Lysander.

Lysander just shrugged at his brother and turned his attention back to Betty.

" now we have to choose our next alpha" she said

”Best of luck, Bets.” Henry said sincerely.

Lysander nodded in agreement. ”I know this may sound a little corny but my love goes with you, my angel.”

Betty smiled " thanks"

Lysander couldn't resist anymore and kissed her forehead. ”Kick their ass.” he murmured encouragingly.

Betty walked up where she was faced with a wolf they soon started fighting and now Betty was in a position where the wolf is about to rip her neck open
