She smiled tiredly the doctor handed laura-beth over to Betty

He looked over at their daughter and smiled softly. ”She’s perfect.” he looked at Betty. ”Just like her mother.”

Lysander delicately reaching a hand towards Laura-Beth and brushed a finger against her hand.

The little girl twitched a little at the touch, looking almost asleep.

Betty gently lean down and pressed a soft kiss to her daughter's head

Laura-Beth made a soft almost cooing sound at the kiss.

Lysander smiled. ”You know what I just realized?” he chuckled softly.

”Her initials are the first letters of our names.” Lysander noted.

She giggled squeezing his hand

He smiled and squeezed her hand gently.

There was a soft knock on the door.

Lysander nodded. ”You shouldn't get up anyway.” he reminded her, kissing her forehead before going to answer the door.

”Hey.” Henry smiled with Charles standing next to him. ”How’s the new mother?”

"Dad?" Betty asked

Lysander stepped aside and let the two family members in.

”I’m here, my daughter.” Charles said softly as he walked over and saw his granddaughter.

Henry walked in offering some coffee to Lysander.

Betty look down at Laura Beth rubbing her thumb gently up and down her arm "I have a daughter" she said looking up at Lysander" we have a daughter"

Lysander smiled and sat back in the chair beside her bed. ”Yes. We do.” he could not get rid of the tender smile as he looked at his wife and daughter.

”Congrats, you guys.” Henry smiled at the new family.

She smiled nuzzling her nose into her daughter's cheek

Laura-Beth gave a small noise at the touch, still not used to feeling.

”She’s beautiful.” Charles smiled softly.

Charles gently placed his hand on her shoulder.

”Are you tired?” Lysander asked, gently.

”I was there.” Lysander replied. ”And I remember you were pretty tired after Asher was born.”

Henry smiled and scooped up his practically adopted son. ”Hey, little buddy. You been a good boy for mama?”

" your mommy and daddy love you so much baby girl" she cooked into her daughter's ear.

”Yes, we do.” Lysander smiled, leaning closer to his family. ”And I love you, Betty.”

Laura-Beth was breathing cutely as she started to fall asleep against her mother.
